Alas danger has many faces, although they typically are hairy faces :P

Here is my cousin, the king salmon

And my good friend the Mekong Giant Catfish, who would kick that bear's butt!

Hah! The text accompanying the catfish states
quote:
FISHERMEN in northern Thailand have caught the biggest catfish on record – a 293-kg giant the size of a grizzly bear
Take that Mr Bear!

As for the salmon demise depicted in that picture, you have very little to fear at the moment. I'll be sure to inform you if "GRIZZLY R. BEAR" ever decides to register, though. :P

He just did. Member 6056.

He also posted at the top of this page already, making your post ever so slightly redundant.

OMG KING SALMON YAY
I have an old Sega Genesis game called "King Salmon: The Big Catch". It's not very good, but it amuses me.

There's a key point you're missing with all these pictures of gigantic fish, Salmon- they all managed to get themselves caught anyway. :P

Yes, I'm already caught.

But my monikers have been examples of dead salmon (Smoked and Sushi) and Jumpin' is just waiting for me to get back out on the deep blue for fishing time. I went out looking for tuna last Saturday, made it about 30 miles out before the choppy seas caused a crew member to get sick. Sad day when you burn 53 gallons of fuel and don't even get your line wet.
