This is an RP. When you first post, please give a description of your character.

Sir Motrax of Exile
- An old windbag of a dragon, a mere husk of what he once was. Quite wise though, and still a fierce fighter. However, certain circumstances will change all that.

IC: It was an average day in the cave. Eat a salamaner for morning snack, sleep, eat a few more salamanders and maybe a giant lizard for lunch, sleep, read a good book, and go to sleep for the evening.

However, the last of this trend did not continue on this day, the 18th of Evermoon. For a creature with tall, spindly legs, bulbous eyes, and a purposeful stare strode into the cave.

"Hm...?" grumbled Motrax. "What... what are you doing here!?"

"I have come for my revenge," the Vahnatai spoke. "You, cave lizard, shall be first to feel it."

And with that, the Vahnatai raised its spidery fingers into the air and chanted an arcane verse. Motrax, having just been woken up from a nice lunch, did not have the mind to react. The dragon began to shimmer, and slowly shrink. Finally, the Vahnatai put down its hands. Motrax, once towering to the ceiling, sat in the middle of the cavern, barely eight feet long, with scales green as morning grass.

"Now pathetic creature, my people will have a second chance at glory. And you, who could have stopped the Empire when it began it's insidious invasion, will have your chance to do the deed you so sorrowfully and miserably failed at. You are my pawn, and if you act against me, you will be murdered by my enemies. Goodbye, Motrax."

With that, the Vahnatai turned and left.

OOC: Rentar-Ihrno has turned back the clock to the time when The Empire first discovered Avernum in order to change the course of events from that point on. The party will consist of others who got thrown back in time, without aging (or rather un-aging, if such a word could exist).

A special treat may or may not be awarded to good RPers.

Huh. I'll have to opt for the Democrat's views on this topic. Bringing uzis into the streets is not something that should be achieved. It's pretty disgusting that such a bill should fade away from existence.

EDIT: Speling an gramre ersz mkae not koharnt post.

"Heinie" comes from the word "hind." As in, the hindquarters, or more specifically, the "arse." It is a childish truncation of "hind." Other examples of removing the last syllable or consonant and adding "ie" can be found. For example, "weenie" is a truncation of "weener." "Meanie" is a shortened way to say "mean person." "Pooie" is a shortened version of "poopoo."

AI is the movie that really made me stop liking Spielberg. The more I think about that movie, the less I like it. The remake of ET is a laughing stock... editing out guns on the uniforms of police men is not a great way to make a "family" movie. The original was fine, and anything done to change it becomes butchery.

As for Hollywood, I lost faith in that long ago. Granted, there are a few movies that have come out over the years that are good, but for the most part, movies are shallow enough that watching commercials is about as pleasurable (and informative) as watching the movie itself.

My favorite movie, of all time, is Momento. I don't know if it's Hollywood-produced or not, but that really doesn't matter in the end. A good movie is a good movie.

I use 'Sir' because it's proper for noble creatures to be named so. My other names have been Angry Angry Motrax (when my password got messed up and I had to create a new account), Lady Athron (when I got tired of stupid political debates), The Death of Honor (when someoneorother posted something resembling a cross between Stalin's moral code and that of a drugged-out hippie), Sir Pyrog of the Abyss (since I'm one of the few who supported the war on Iraq, this name would be more appropriate for debate), <I don't remember> (after I read Atlas Shrugged), Sir Atma of the Nether (from Atma Weapon of FF6, who's the coolest character in anything, ever), Ultros (from Ultros of FF6, who's also the coolest character in anything, ever), and Sir Ultros of the Lete River (to keep the "Sir ___ of ___" theme). I think that's all of them.

Yes, being able to change your ratings of others would be nice. That way, you could change your rating from good to bad or bad to good, anytime(my opinions of people fluctuate all the time).

On a side note, who has the most votes? I have 23, which I'm assuming isn't a whole lot.

This seems like the right place to post a little AIM conversation I had around the time misc disappeared...

SirMotrax2021: hehe
SirMotrax2021: well, Saunders knows all...
Logo555: How I made such a big deal of it.

SirMotrax2021: ..

SirMotrax2021: Perhaps Alorael wants it that way.
Logo555: You said thst oyu made a big deal out of it
Logo555: Wants it what way?
Logo555: *CONFUSED*
SirMotrax2021: Perhaps Alorael wants Saunders not to be online.
Logo555: WHAT?
Logo555: Why!?
Logo555: ALORAEL KILLED SAUNDERS?!?!?
SirMotrax2021: Perhaps Alorael's wish is Saunders' command.

EDIT: I spent a while typing this, so I thought I was posting right after Scorp.

quote:
Face it, SMoE. Of all the "civilized" countries, yours has the highest level of racism. By far. No one here will dispute that.
I'm glad America has risen from "...screwed up the ass" status to "'civilized'." I would dispute you, Scorp, if I count as "someone here." The anti semetism in Europe is rather rampant and not at all acknowledged. Perhaps since the news services don't report on that so much, you don't hear about it, but I think you should "face" the fact that there is hatred everywhere, and quite a lot of it, not just in America.

Scorp, being able to point to a place on the map doesn't make it more or less backwater.

And just for interest, here's a link to that school's demographics:

http://www.greatschools.net/modperl/browse_school/ga/2557

quote:
It's an hour's drive from Atlanta
Driving 150 miles in one hour would get you one hell of a speeding ticket, aside from the high chance of getting into some catastrophic accident. And I doubt you could have pointed to Butler, Georgia on a map before this article was published.

Your quotes from the yahoo forums are exactly what we've been saying all along - racism isn't nearly finished.

quote:
America is screwed up the ass.

Scorp, will you ever let go of this rhetoric, or will it follow you to the grave?

I understand it isn't my right to tell others what to do with their body, but that still doesn't change my opinion.

Just like that modern "artist" who pooped in a bunch of cans. I think it's gross, but I'm not gonna do anything to stop it.

And on a slightly on-topic note, The Illustrated Man, by Bradburry, is a good book. Kalaedascope (sp?) is one of the best short stories I've ever read.

Feran, they are backwater and unknown. That doesn't mean a major paper can't report on the subject. It's an interesting story, so they decided to put it to press.

And Scorp, I'm a northerner, and I don't much care about passing a group of black teenagers at night, as long as they aren't carrying knives or pointing at me. Just like I wouldn't be scared of a bunch of white teenagers unless they were carrying knives or pointing at me.

I do agree with Feran, that old habits die hard. It sadly will be quite a while before racism is really ended, anywhere in the world.

I think tongue piercings are pretty ugly and disgusting, as are rings anywhere besides your ears or fingers. Krazy kolor hair dyes look pretty ugly too, most of the time. Same with tatoos.
All of that stuff just seems silly to me. Tatoos especially, since they are pretty much permanent (I think, I don't know a whole lot about tatoo removal, but I'd guess that's expensive).

As for a description, I'm a guy with hair, two eyes, ten fingers on my hands, and ten toes. I've got a nose, too, and a mouth. And my internal organs are all in good shape. My bones are healthy, and my muscles are not atrophied. I suffer from no terminal ilness.

I'll have to post something witty before this topic dies the death.

This summer, I'll be working with x-ray diffraction of irregular/imperfect protein crystals.

With the exception of (Shaper Master) a few people (Shaper Master), reaching 1000 posts is quite an achievement.

Pat yourself on the back, and treat yourself to some anti-psychotic treatments. I'm beginning to work my way to the elephant tranquilizer, but I probably won't reach that point 'till 1500 or 2000.

-Motrax, who beleives Alorael's constant supply of skribbane is what keeps him sane enough to remember how to use the keyboard, on occasion.

Passover started on the second or third day of vacation (I've already forgotten!). It's an awful thing to eat only salad for lunch when there are hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas, pasta, etc. available.

Oh well, matzah with chocolate spread (Nutella) is quite the best tasting food in existence.
