At least, until Sir David persecutes himself into my banning again... Poor fella. I hope he can take the stress of wholesale slandering people who can't reasonably respond. Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Oooooh!!! I love the nebula- and the pillars are fantastic. The green and purple really set one another off. The cobblestone bridge is also preferable to the shoddy-looking wooden one. 5/5 Now finish the damn thing! ;_; -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Creator, this election concerns you almost as little as it does Kel. Why you bother typing so voiciferously confuses me. To wit: - Kel doesn't give a rat's ass about any sense of community - Alec does - Kel unilaterally set Alec up the bomb regardless I'm saying that Kel is a dick on account of his placing his flaccid, elongated clitoris where he knew it had no place. Meanwhile! Can we not try and feign some respect for the unusually terse Mr. Kyras here? Or, failing that, a topic-locking... Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

I was tempted to list WC3, but it's not technically an RPG. (As for my list? I stop enjoying them somewhere around A2/E1. I just prefer Realmz to, say, Geneforge.) Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

The nebula should be 2x2, just because I can't yet place it without the nomenclature. Meanwhile, I can't say I agree with the use of floors in the second shot- too many colors. The bright R, G and B don't set one another off very well- maybe using a green regal carpet or a darker mosaic tileset would help. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

It's less the fact that Kel "broke the rules", and more the fact that he's being a dick in general. He (and also Zeviz) clearly has no intentions of making the community suck less, which makes his running superfluous- except for the damned feuding. PS- Stug, get AIM. It's summer, so it's not like you have schoolwork tying your hands together or anything. Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

I'm curious what the more flagrant abuse is- the fact that you stole my cleverness, or the fact that you have no chong-chumping idea what in blazes you're talking about. Well, it's not like you don't have a consistent track record on the second count, so I'm going to say that "stealing my joke" makes you more of a tool, if only for the novelty of it. Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

You know, Kel, for someone who doesn't post in general unless it directly effects himself, you sure seemed intent on screwing Alec. What could be your motive? Was the fact that Alec wasn't stirred by LP's stunning, classical-centered narrative the first offence? But hey, Stug will be a good mod- mostly since he doesn't take leads from you. Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Zeviz, no offense (yet), but virtually everything you said is covered in posts that go back to my first in the topic. "The last I checked, the US government is responsible for governing its citizens alone (though it does now owe support to Iraq, but I'm not going into that now)." Don't forget Afghanistan. What, you were looking for a less terse response? Lemme put it this way, then- when you are imperialist enough that a good chunk of the world is yours, is non-governance of it really an excuse? "As for multinational manufacturing in third world nations, the people take those jobs because the alternatives are worse. Better to be making a little money and be able to eat rice than to spend your entire day eating grass from the side of the road. Maybe you disagree." Your paradox is absurd and cruel- I'm not sure how Americans can gorge themselves to the point where obesity becomes a life-threatening issue, and yet some considerably more colored folks suddenly can't acquire the most basic nutrition required for survival without bearing the brunt of torture the likes of which is unconstitutional over here. "TM, you've done a great job expounding on the faults of the US' system of government, but I ask you: what other system would solve or is solving those problems better?" That's a sabot and you know it- the moment I start getting into the specifics of any "system", the inevitable response is "it's not in human nature". What's worse is that it's inherently biased towards the status quo- Of course this is the only system currently "working", when working itself is a biproduct of the status quo. "Almost all the third world regimes are set up around dictatorships, and the lack of transparency that results allows the rulers the luxury of not giving a damn about their populations, provided there's still something worth exploiting there and that the rulers have the strength to stay in power. Aside from purely physical geographical reasons in some cases, this is the reason why much of the rest of the world is in such a state of squalor, not because the US/the Man is putting them down." Again with pretending imperialism doesn't exist, eh? A large number of the world's most exploitative regimes were installed by us. And hell, a good number of those regimes, even those we weren't responsible for, should be removed by us. Still, from what I hear, it's typical not to betray corporate guanxi with military reprisal, and those bamboo negroids make GAP tee-shirts without complaint, so... "Nor is this state of third world-ness necessarily permanent - look at the success of the ASEAN nations over the last fifty years." Success? What, you mean like Hong Kong, where the divide between rich and poor is so divisive that one man's yearly salary won't buy another rich wife's tea party? Where social nets are completely absent, much to the arousal of supply-side conmen? Ah, but they're all perfectly good at providing amenities to the white man when he comes to visit... "Assuming that human nature won't be changing anytime soon" AUGH Do I post for nothing? Aught I spend my time better by defecating on your respective doorsteps? ... Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Dahak, do me the honor of letting me bear your children. This is genuinely awesome. I agree with Thuryl, though- something in the space would be nice. Why not make the bush go on the hills, and place something magical (runes, lantern, etc) on the hills instead? -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

I agree with Ator. Kel, when Ator says "be fair", he's being far gentler than I would. I'm not entirely convinced that you give a damn about the plots of Bahss or LP- it's possible that my perspective is marred by the mishandled gameplay of each, but it seems like those stories are devoid of ambition to the extreme. Eagle, your scenario idea sucks. It sounds terrible and stereotypical, and I feel bored hearing about it. When thinking about a scenario to write, think about what you want to happen first and foremost. Sacrifice your ideas into RPG stereotypes only when needed. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |
