I'm a little partial to AbT, Overcompensating in particular, and the Dumbrella comics in general.

Oh, and Jerkcity.

Megatokyo. Not all of it makes sense if you don't read it from the beggining(and most of the time not even then), but it's fun. www.megatokyo.com

Chopping Block. Sadly teetering on the edge of ending, as it has been for some time, but creative gory death never gets old.

Checked out that once upon a table one and its by far one of the funniest I've seen, thanks for recommending it. Only a few others have left me frequently laughing out loud like that.

The Pointless But Hilarious Quest

8-Bit-Theatre

The Order Of The Stick

My favourite would have to be 8-bit-theatre as that allways makes me laugh, and the next would be the pointless but hilarious quest which most of the time has something funny and there are alot of brillant ones that are the best I've read. Usually it's only just "good" though and thats why its my second favourite.

I've never seen a webcomic that doesn't suck, where I classify webcomics as things which have not been paper-printed by a press in real life, and even then, some non-webcomics suck too.

Dilbert, Foxtrot, User Friendly.

How many times do we have to tell you that just because a comic appears on the web does not mean it is a webcomic? A webcomic is a comic that appears exclusively on the web. Dilbert and Foxtrot are not webcomics.

Umm... what an attitude dude. File 49 is available as a print comic, so is Mega Tokyo-- it is one of the most popular Manga in print. A lot of things start on the web then move to print. Print is not necessarily better... there are a lot of things in print which are complete trash.

I didn't say print is better than web or vice versa. I'm just saying, Dilbert and Foxtrot are not webcomics and never were.

Fine, if you're going to be so obsessively strict, I don't like any webcomics, then.

A web comic is a comic that is serialized on the web. Serialized means it appears on a continuous basis on the web with an archive. If the comic is any good, it will eventually appear in multiple formats. It is merely a matter of format. There are plenty which are serialized in both web and book format. Hutch Owen for example is both available as a web comic and in print. There are a number of advantages to doing both. You can turn out the product much quicker on the web. Update faster, edit faster, and create news faster. It is much easier to create large story books in print, however. Anthologies are better in print. So are long works.
