Okay, more detailed report. Any floor or terrain (but not height adjustment) I place in 3D mode erratically gets placed both where I clicked and approximately six squares west and one square up from where I clicked. This location is not completely consistent, though. This seems to happen with any scenario that I open. I made a new scen with the 3D editor and it still happens. I am using Mac OS 10.2, 3D Editor v0.12b2. It seems to happen at any resolution or number of colors. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Smoo: Get ready to face the walls! Ephesos: In conclusion, yarr. Two things immediately come to mind: first, the idea of producing fanfiction as a substitute for scenarios is intriguing, because it is so much easier — perhaps we ought to encourage this whenever people feel they cannot manage a scenario; and second, GAH SPELLING GAH. I hope you were planning to do a thorough spellcheck before releasing this scenario, or else it would've be quite annoying to play. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. She did say that she expects the "unlimited bandwidth" part of that agreement to end soon, because the webhoster no longer even offers that deal to new customers. But yeah, for the time being, I really don't understand how SW can complain about bandwidth, unless she was saying something incorrect. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. As always, my information comes from Avernum, not Exile, but it should be the same. You can get to some Empire lands via boat by going west from Fort Dranlon and then north from the next outdoor section over. Proceed west from there (with a proper pass, I believe) and you can reach Harston and some other Empire-controlled areas. Not sure if this is what you had in mind, though. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. I cannot for the life of me find a way in, and Schro's FAQ says, "You can't get into that secret room, unfortunately." Bah, that is far easier than what I did. You can't just hit her with maxed stats, because no matter what your stats are, you'll end up doing no more than three or four damage per hit, and she starts healing herself at a certain point. But what I did (and this took forever, and Imban's plan sounds much better) is Forcecage her, wait for it to wear off, then hit her with three Cloud of Blades spells, and use the last mage to Forcecage her again before she could move. This required four magic-users with incredibly high Dexterity (and a LOT of patience), though. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. The link works for me, EternalSpearman. At any rate, it's the FAQ linked to at the top of the GF1 board. The canister of Create Ornk is in the Servile Warren just outside of Kazg. Well, the answer (in both cases) is that it's both. Being Jewish is both a matter of ethnic identity — which is how some people (not all Jews) can look Jewish — and a religion — which is how some people can convert. Similarly, being gay depends both nature and nurture — I think it's pretty clear that both play a significant role. However, it isn't ever a decision ("Hm, do I feel like being gay today?"). If it were, then why on Earth would anyone choose to be gay? As Djur reasonably points out, though, this is not what anyone cares about. The question is whether being gay is okay or not, and we've taken that one and beaten it into the ground, so it probably doesn't bear repeating again. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Uh, try to at least stay in the same thread or something. Quick tutorial on PMing: bring up the member profile for the person you want to PM (usually by clicking on that person's name next to one of his or her posts). In the upper right-hand corner, underneath "Profile for [whoever]," there should be a link that says Send New Private Message. Click that. Then fill out the PM and send it. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Smoo: Get ready to face the walls! No, you can't check an SDF from a previous scenario. As far as the other thread goes, my main point was that the posts were all from two years ago and clearly no longer relevant. EDIT: You may be able to pull some black magic where you check an item from a previous scenario, but I'm not sure if this would accomplish anything. To the best of my knowledge, 1 is not possible. I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about in 2, but it doesn't sound possible either. EDIT: More detail on 1. As far as I know, you can only use cr_which_sheet in your custom objects script, which is loaded when the scenario starts.
