I just checked, since I couldn't remember what had to be done at that point. Walk up to the boat that can't be selected, and the dialog for returning to the mainland will then pop up. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

Oh, honestly. I'd never actually eat a kitten. Carnivore meat generally doesn't taste very good. All kidding aside, I am fond of cats. I have not been the pet of a cat in a while though. I hope to remedy this soon. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

There's been rather a lot going on that has interfered with my working on my scenario and will probably do so for a bit longer, though I am working around it. This, however, is my intent statement for my scenario: The party is a low-level group who travel to a school for training. They sneak out of the school to go fight a group of bad guys, who turn out to be renegade graduates of the school who decided to use what they learned to wreak a little havoc. The party must defeat them, and then return to their school to be punished for sneaking off. I am generally available from 9 pm or later (CST) by AIM for chat or private talk, and any time by PM or my listed e-mail. Just in time! I've downloaded it and will play it as soon as I get the chance. Anything to keep from going back (starting over, more like) to that other scenario that's my bane at the moment. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

The headmaster of my scenario's school is a shady character, and I'm toying with the idea of making him the head bad guy for the sneak-off mission, but I don't know if that's too silly. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

My first scenario is going to be fairly short: Party goes to training school. Mysterious stranger tells them of some bad guys to fight, but they must sneak out of school to do it. Party fights bad guys, gets some neat stuff, but gets in trouble when they come back to school. I'd like to participate in the chat and I'm on CST. About the only time this thrice-blasted connection doesn't drop is this time of day, though. I'll see what I can do. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

This sounds like it could be very interesting. I've finished all but one of the BoA scenarios I downloaded, and as it looks like I'm going to have some time (alas), I could get started on the scenario I've been half-heartedly planning. But I have no idea where to start. Most everyone's scenarios astound me, and I wonder if I can produce something even playable, never mind good. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

quote:I change the names. Sometimes I call my characters after people I know, or characters in my novel. Just for fun, I gave Roman names to the party I made to play Lord Putidus. I generally have a human cleric, human or slith sorcerer, slith or human berzerker, and another fighter or a rogue of whatever race I feel like using. I tend to neglect archery most of the time. I'm currently playing Diplomacy with the Dead again, with a party of two humans, a slith, and a nephil, all using the most feminine-looking portraits, and with female names. It doesn't matter, of course, but I felt like doing it just this once. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

I just started playing it recently, after being rather bored with another game. I've played most of the scenarios that I downloaded and am a bit stuck at the beginning of a certain one. (That's why I logged in now. I was looking for a hint.) I'll play good, bad, or indifferent scenarios, and I'm even thinking of designing my own. I have a storyline planned, anyway. I've been a touch dismayed when scenarios turned out to be much shorter than I thought they would. I like long ones best. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

Tolkien, naturally, Garth Nix. I enjoy Eddings' stuff but don't consider it good. Robin McKinley is my absolute favorite author, no question. Fantasy. Took my name on another board from one of her protagonists. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

I would merely make personal alterations, going back within my own lifespan. While the idea of screwing with the timeline in a major way is appealing, I don't want to take the chance that I really mess things up. I just don't want the reponsibility. That is a puzzling problem, especially as it isn't happening to everyone who has AVG. I run it and it didn't mind my installing Geneforge 3 at all. Maybe it's trying to preserve your spare time? Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

Brings out various conspiracy theories about how the nomination was a smoke screen for other activities of the administration. Not from me, though--I'm still sitting here, thinking, "Huh." Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

Well, in my experience, being drunk is only fun when people can tell that you're drunk. With me, it's apparently not apparent, as B informed me after a night of experimentation in that area. Neither he nor I are obvious drunks. We become random ramblers, which is very much like our usual condition. The only difference is that we like to stay in one place because that keeps the room from moving strangely. Party animals, we are.
