I am pretty sure it starts getting easier after a few hundred years when you are nothing but a cold, inhumane immortal being.

I'm looking forward to it, should that wish ever be granted. IMAGE(biggrin2.gif)

I got fairly fast at finishing TaskMaker. Not a game with loads of replay value, in my opinion. Tomb was a bit better, since you could play as thief, fighter, or magician. I loved the tax-themed dungeon. Pretty funny.

Must go home and visit the cousin who has our old Mac. TaskMaker and Tomb are on that computer. I should play them again, as it's been a while.

Hmm, I'd often had the feeling that I was the only one who ever played TaskMaker and Tomb of the TaskMaker. Good to know I wasn't.

Well then, Hecuba should be able to get into Lorelei, having finished the slimes quest.

That comes under "something I didn't say," just like an endless supply of neat shoes or cable that never goes out.

Oh, dear. Hmm. In that case, I'm not quite sure what to do. Dang. I haven't played in some time. You don't happen to have that "suspicious package", do you?

Sorry I turned out to be so little help, but if you're on AIM, I might be able to help you a bit more.

The Exile III Editor is full of options for checking off quests. It's in the Edit Party menu, under Add Special Items. Just give yourself the item that you found while doing the particular quest you're thinking of. It'll be whatever thing you would have shown Berra when you came back to Fort Emergence.

I mean, I currently have a ten-year-old. Though she is not my child, she considers me to be her property, so I get to consider her mine, as well. I was using first person plural just to be silly.

Everyone who needs an annoying nine-year-old already has one. Though ours is actually a ten-year-old, but whatever.

Immortality seems to be a good idea, but I think it would get boring after a few thousand years. As long as it's not an eternity of getting ever older and more wrinkly, though, I think I could handle the boredom.

I have to shake my head in wonder that I live in a country whose politics inspire the throwing of greasy garlic breadsticks that will ruin your shirt, should they hit it.

Hmm, maybe they should throw garlic breadsticks at the political conventions. Please don't tell me if they already do. God knows I'm disillusioned enough as it is.

I was going to vote for someone other than Bush anyway, but a more inspiring choice would have been nice.

Moving to Sweden doesn't sound a half bad idea, though.

I thought the story could use a bit more development, but I enjoyed reading it. I'm having one of those weeks where I can really identify with Throg.

You don't want a part in making thousands, perhaps millions, of people's bleached-blond hair soft and lovely again? Can't imagine why not.
