EDIT: Actually that game seemed kind of lame. KOL is fun though. www.kingdomofloathing.com or something like that. [ Monday, July 04, 2005 23:25: Message edited by: Kingy ] Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

It would be very hard to actually make a decent mod of Avernum using the TES Construction thing. I looked at it just before. I'm not saying it can't be done, just saying it would take ages and by the time it's done Oblivion would be out and the mod would see less people using it anyway. Go to the castle, find a gold key and then go to Akhronath. When you get there, there is a top bit and a room you cant get into. There is a wheel that needs the gold key to use it(use far sight or something). When you do that you can get into the room and thats where the Royal Seal is. That would actually be brilliant. I think that both Avernum and Morrowind are great games and it would be interesting to see a first person, brilliant graphics (rather than something that's pretty much a text adventure [Not that I have anything against the graphics, infact I like them]) version of Avernum. I think it would be incredibly hard to pull off though. I would help but unfortunitly I have no skills in that sort of area. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

My answer is pretty much the same as Jewels of the Forest. I came here a few years ago just for hints on the games and returned maybe 3 weeks ago and got hooked on the general forum. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

It's no where near as good as Exile, and I don't really even like exile. Well actually I suppose I do because it's just Avernum. But I like the Avernum engine and all that a lot more. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

Avernum 2 would make a far better movie. It has a far more defined plot line and would make more sense as a movie. Also it's a better game. [ Wednesday, June 29, 2005 22:47: Message edited by: Kingy ] Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

Heh, Erasorhead/Drakel(/TM?) is quite persistant. One of those 3. Or possibly 2 if Drakel and Erasorhead are one and the same. Whats the chances they'll just show up again and post. Did their IP not get banned then or something? Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

I personally found TM amusing and he was comic relief, something that is good to have on these boards. Even Erasorhead, and dare I say it, Drakel were at least a slight distraction and provided some amusement. This is of course ignoring the images which I now refused to believe exist and I don't want to dig deep in my memory because no-one wants to see that. Ahh...I come so late into the discussion. Oh well. The main point of my message is "Speights, Pride of the south since 1876". Ah the fun of it all. The culture of the city I'm just outside of (damn border being 1 km away) is known for student drinking because of Otago university. All those guys do is drink (or so it seems) and I have attended a few partys because a couple of mates of mine go there and they seem to develop a high tolerance for alcahol. I mean, I was keeping pace with them and woke up in a bathroom with the last thing I remember being me doing vodka shots. Oh and I like Speights but I can barely ever afford it, usually going for a couple of bottles of $8 vodka instead. Oh and also drinking age is 18. I found Avernum 2 while searching for games to play at my old school on the really old computers there. I ran across it on some site or another, downloaded it and then proceeded to go home and register it so I could play the full at home. Since then I've registered A1 and BoA and am currently considering buying Nethergate. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

Yea, I remember that. That Drakel guy did really irritate me though. Erasorhead had a couple of funny moments but ended up just being a pain. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

quote:Heh, I have a GForce 5200 128mb graphics card and it still runs all the games fine. Allthough with the newer games they eat a lot of space so I'm forced to update from my 60 gig. Considering getting a 200 gig hard drive so I will have 260 gigs of space. A friend of mine has 500gigs but I think that would be a little to extreme. Originally written by ben III: Yeah, it does seem like pretty much everyone here is kind of intelligent ie. is not a slacker in school or anything. But maybe it's just an illusion; I don't know. Its an illusion. Well, in my case anyway. Although I am in the smart classes at my school, that doesn't mean anything as my school has one of the worst reputations for being a drugged up, drunk, slacker filled and general half-assed school. Yea, maoris don't do all that tribal stuff much anymore. And they no longer worry about the hill thing because they rightfully sold their land ealier on (although about 5000 Maoris are trying to claim it back saying that it's theirs even though their ancestors sold it). Although when it was all Maori tradition the better clans had their little stick forts up on hills so they could see attacks etc. Not that it helped when maoris were first given guns as they wiped out 80% of their population. All this nethergate talk is really making me want to buy that game. Alas I still have no money. One of these days I will have money to buy something other than the food I need to survive. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

Yea, I know. I live on a large hill, which remains nameless. And yet where I go to school is a large flat area and so it gets named. What is the point in that? Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

No offence but those ideas aren't all that great. And I think everyone controls their players anyway. Also perhaps this should be in one of the games forums, although you didn't specify which at any point, but I'm guessing it's Exlie/Avernum. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |
