I always thought it had to with switching the letters around in Jordan and putting a 'b' in front of the jumble. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. I don't think you can get any Pathfinging other than the amount with some custom characters, a special encounter, and the Mind Crystal. I only think this because I never was able to 'walk on lava' in A1 very effectively, while I could do it in A2-3. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Well, that was certainly a very loquacious post, though it did conform well to most people who don't let there eyes melt when they see things like that. A game where you start out as the rebel shapers... Seems nice. You think they should tie in the Drakons from Geneforge 2? I think the choice of specializing in shaping, melee, and spells should still be left up to the player. A guild for each of the classes would be nice. I would like to see the Shaper Council get completely overturned. -------------------- What do I put here? -Garrison Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

Oh no, the BoE editor was monolithic and made my hands hurt from all the clicking. Same with the BoA editor, I guess, but it just seems better for some reason. But with a big effort, we could add tons of useful features to it. Heck, we already have the source code! -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Nothing happens when you disturb the spirits, but you might not be on good terms with the Spirit of the Sick (average undead creature with 7ap, 1000+ health and freezing touch; he's ORANGE to boot!). I think you'll still get his experience reward as long as you end the plague before going to speak with him. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. But then you have to consider that the statement also said 9-3-3=3! (9-3)-3 is so very different from 9-(3*3). In reality, the direction of interpretation shouldn't matter as long as the order of operations apply, (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division; the positive operator must always have precedence) -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. What kind of code can you put into print_str_color()? You can either put a single literal ("Hi everybody!"), or a string CONSTANT, but not both. You can't append anything to the constant, and the literal must be given in its entirety. There is no flexibility in this regard, but the buffer calls can at least allow you to append a mix of strings and numbers together, and then you can dump the buffer into a string, which is the only time when you can change the string constant. Hmmm, really high armor, party hasn't reached end of first low level scenario yet, difficulty is on torment, golem has 95% chance to hit, does ~70 per hit with 2 hits and is immune to all magical attacks. I killed it as well, but only after finishing off the plague. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. I wonder if the last parameter in the place_monster() call can be a number other than 0 or 1. I have this strange feeling that you can set the summon level on the spawned creatures by changing this number. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. The terms are just being evaluated from right to left. Usually, 1+2+3 means (1+2)+3 because it is done left to right But with Jeff's system it is 1+(2+3) 2+3*6 usually means 2+(3*6) because of order of operations, and it should still apply in Jeff's system But that is an error in the docs because 9-3-3 should be 9+(-3-3) which is 3. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos.
