You have got to try Homeland.

It's in the same league as classics like Half-Life, TIE Fighter, and X-Com UFO Defense... only better!

I'm Amish. I don't use light bulbs, or anything electric for that matter.

My new Corvette is pretty sweet, though.

I don't see what all the hub-bub is about.

I don't spell well, either. (edit)

Which would mean he'd be leaving 1/4th of his sanity, while still holding 1/4th. Half of a half is 1/4th. Duh, FBM.

Leave whatever portion of sanity you have left, at the door.

That's funny to me, because for like a year, two friends and I started pronouncing everything like ancient Greek.

We found people still understood what we were saying, but they always gave us an odd look.

I started with Exile(1).

I found the shareware version on a MacWorld disc. That was many years ago, and I've since let my gaming soar, especially RPGing. I like to think Exile re-introduced me to the RPG, and what wonderous things it can do to your social life.

I always knew "alot" was incorrect, but I'm still fairly certain "alright" is common, accepted English. I could be wrong, though, seeing as I just seemed to find out I was spelling "forward" wrong my whole life. Or something like that...

Also, I like "fora". I think I'll use that from now, tither.

I play a Rogue. The large amount of melee damage is just my style.

I picked Night Elves because I just liked them. My alt is a Troll, because those are my favorite from WC3. Your race affects your stats, but not by enough to make or break your game experience. Pick whatever you think fits you and your tastes.

Being straight myself, I find it hard to determine whether or not slang terms are offensive. I would imagine that they would be to a degree, but then again I've never been one to take offense to words.

So quit this gay stuff, flamer. This whole topic is so queer.

Ignore it.

I, the greatest person to ever live, have only 3 stars at the moment. What could possibly be true about this?

Though for some odd reason, we still get a kick out of giving all the spammers/flamers/n00bs one star.

Question: is having a stealth segment feasible? I've been toying with the idea, but I'm not sure I like how it might work with this... well... game.

Obviously I'd have some item you use/equip and you are put in 'stealth mode', allowing you to sneak around and cause all sorts of mischief.

Right now I see no way to allow backstabbing or something. Unless of course I ditch any detection by the NPCs.

Yay, nay?

Ok so we've proven our point: every imaginable game is better than Halo.

Now how do we convince all the immature console-heads of this?

On a side note, "video game" has become interchangeable with "computer game" on computers, though you'd never dare call a console game a computer game.

D&D is only "stupid" if you don't like admitting your nerdiness.

I used to play it with a friend and her friends, but I was never one of those super-D&D people. It is fun to me, and certainly has its place (long times during power-outages=best time). If it's not your thing, I understand, but you should try it if you are the least bit interested.

ADoS, it's probably some local slang term kids are using these days.

And yea, I'll have to agree that Marathon does rock. People don't really think about anymore (in general), but let's face it: Marathon was awesome.

For the record, if you didn't pick it up already, I detest Halo and everything it stands for. Yes, Quake does beat Halo in my book. The majority of games I play and like beat Halo. I'm now just ranting so I'll stop...

As said already, that information would be practically impossible to find out.

If you wanted to put a tack on something, though, Chainmail or D&D would be your best bet there. As for PC game, Dungeons of Despair apears to be the concensous. Zork would be another good choice. Ultima may have been great, but not the first.

DooM (and Wolf3d for that matter) did for games what real-time sound did for movies: redefinition.

The basic idea behind it never changed, run around, kill stuff, collect the key, get out. As for movies, tell the story, develop some plot. But it's about how it was done after this change. Never before had you been so immersed in an environment.

Some people might regard Halo as a "great game" (go ahead, you are entitled to your opinion), but let's just face it: the birth of immersion in games is far greater than the mainstream shooter on a console.
