OOC: Mars isn't high on morals. He's a grey, not a black, nor a white. And thus isn't hindered by morals. The same applies to LF, who is sort of dead, but can still use magic. And LF can relate to the Slith's suffering, but could care less, since that slith mage killed him. IC.. LF: So, the frelling slith archmage shows himself just to give a stupid message and leaves. Pathetic. Mars: Perhaps, but I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you. LF: Is that so?!? Okay, so maybe I'm dead, but I think I'd know a difficult fight if it came into being. Mars: In that case... How did you die? LF: That mage invaded my mind and planted a really powerful delusion there and it eventually killed me. Mars: Oh. You're that phsyco mage whose job I took. LF: Exactly.... Did you just call me a phsyco!?! Mars: Yes. We're now even. Now for some music to listen to while I walk down this stupid hall to the archmage. *Mars pulls out his iPod. LF: Hey, my iPod. I wondered where that thing went. Mars: Your iPod? LF: Let me guess, you bought it off a stange looking Vahnatai Warrior. Mars: Actually I traded him a cloak for it. LF: Was that the only thing in the pocket? Mars: Yeah, why? LF: Just checking. *LF and Mars continue down the really long hall to the archmage. *An assasin tries to stab the unarmed Lone Flame, but the blade goes right through him. Then Mars, who is invisible(stealth spell), blasts the assasin to dust. LF(laughing): This is too fun. *Mars and LF continue on their way to where the mage is. Suddenly LF and Mars are surrounded by monks. Mars: Since when do they have monks? LF: No clue. *A monk tries to tackle LF, but goes through him and is impaled by one of Mars's daggers. Then Mars blasts some of the monks with a Fire3 spell. After that LF distracts some of the monks with an illusions of a gremlin, while Mars summons a Basilisk to turn the monks to stone. *After some traveling down a hidden stairway, Mars arrives at a portal. Mars: I wonder what's on the other side... Wait I've got to continue on my mission. But this portal could lead to some bad guys. *As Mars is about to enter the portal, he is stopped by a shade of a human. Mars: Why do you obstruct my path? LF: Because you will die if you enter that portal. You must use your despell magic on that portal. Mars: Why? LF: Cause it leads to the Demon World, you friggin idiot. Mars: Oh... Wait a sec, Did you just call me an idiot?!? LF: Yes. Only an idiot enters random portals for no reason. Mars: But it could be important for me to go there! LF: This portal should be destroyed and you should kill that stupid Slith mage. You know what, I think I shall jion you. Mars: What! You could be some evil being. In fact you probably are. LF: But I would have killed you if I were with them. Mars: Perhaps, but you could just be trying to help me to save yourself or decieving me in some other way. LF: Your not as dumb as you appear to be. But you never asked who I am, well, was. I am the great mage, Lone Flame. Mars: Never heard of you. LF: You work for the NSI and you never heard of me!?! Again with the scripts. Nothing is more annoying in scenario creation than a whole bunch of messed up and really confusing scripts. Also what's wrong with making stuff like the BladeStar-Life stealing, or the Quicksilvar Blade-Increased speed and the ability to make the weilder invisible(although I could probably only have one of those abilities). Designers shouldn't have to rely on highly confusing and overly complex script. I just think it's rather annoying to make this complex script just to do something simple. I have actually. I'd like to point out that it was in fact hard and I could not get the monster to replace the slain monster in the same spot. If you actually know how to do that, go right ahead and tell me. NPCs are also doable, but in BoA it would have to be like Geneforge, since those stupid NPCs of BoE require wasting perfectly good special items, which I use to make up for my inability to do Stuff Done Flags. NPCs & Monster replacing a fallen monster would be used to do the plan I have for combining them. Thus I would need both to do what I was thinking of doing...(Insert a whole lotta cryptic stuff here) Although I would prefer to be able to control the NPCs, but that ain't gonna happen. Both NPCs controled by the computer and monsters replacing slain monsters in the same spot are too friggin hard to do. OOC: Alright, but first... IC... *LF draws the card Arcana was going to use to destroy Yugi's magical, but was negated by a trap card of Yugi's. LF: Suck on this! *The card transforms into a million flying daggers and kill the real GS, thus removing from existance. Here are some thoughts for BoA. Some have already been mentioned, but I'm mentioning them again. 1) Computer controled NPCs. 2) Item graphics being stored in a special file so you can keep those neat items with their neat graphics you sometimes get in various scenarios. 3) A mass damage, non targeting, spell(ie Fireball, Divine thud, ect) 4) The ability to have a monster replace a freshly slain monster and be it in the same spot the now dead monster was in. 5) Give anyone who buys BoA and actually releases good a BoA scenario a free copy of any Spiderweb game they choose... Yeah friggin right. Oh well. Worth a shot. 6) A nice spot in a mental instatution for when BoA scenario designers lose their minds making scenarios on BoA... Not bloody likely. I wouldn't mind having NPCs that followed me around into the various scenarios and helped me out with stuff(although their advice might not be very related to the scenario). Come to think of it, I can't figure out how Jeff would be able to let us have more than4 party members, since storing extra characters would be difficult(at best), so NPCs shoul be added to keep variety around. Sidenote: Doing all the stuff to make NPCs in BOE is a pain in the mik'ta. Please Jeff, make it simple.
