Anyway, no one ever said that you had to come up with the monster before the scenario; that does seem like putting the cart before the horse. Indeed, several monsters I've mentioned (like dopplegangers) I do plan to use in one of my scenarios. I'd rather have 4 characters who can actually do something than 6 that seem to get two-hit killed all the time and can barely hurt the enemy, and that's how it felt alot in exile. There has been alot of discussion of these things, and in the end it has been decided (principally by Jeff) that this will pretty much be a somewhat modified Avernum 3.
