The problem is that just about anything you might decide to do could turn out to interfere detrimentally with something that someone else might want to do in the future. If you never do unto others anything that you would not have them do unto you, you'll never be able to do unto others at all.

Dude, this is the Exile Trilogy forum. You appear to be giving advice for the Avernum trilogy. Smite is a terrible spell in Exile; Wound is better.

Fixed your typo.

Really, "a set of rules that I want everybody to follow, except me when I can get away with not following them" is a fairly good working definition of a code of ethics.

No you haven't. It's impossible to kill it without doing the quests that allow you to; even if you somehow do enough damage to bring its health down to zero, it'll just stay at 1 health and not die. Even if you don't remember the quests to bring a piece of the shade to Correlea in the Castle and find the control rod in Rentar's first keep, you must have done them if you killed the shades.

Diplomacy is part of a president's job. Electing someone who won't give unsolicited backrubs to the Chancellor of Germany would be a good start.

I would note, however, that very few classic rock stars would have made it in the modern world, and that the classical composers would probably failed to land so much as a debut for their pieces.
Whoosh.

QFE

It's fine for you to upload and distribute it. The only licensing issues that come up are if someone tries to modify it, basically.

The political question is awfully hard to answer. I settled on "moderate" for both because I figure that all my extreme views on individual issues balance each other out.

Your instincts are right in this case: it's pretty much nonsense. Most reputable geneticists today don't believe that humanity can be meaningfully divided into races; folks from different places may look very different from each other, but genetically we're less diverse than a lot of other species.

Corner it so that it's forced to fight you in melee. It's a lot less threatening when it can't use its breath attack.

Well, I wouldn't say it's entirely your fault. Even if in theory the cheats are an undocumented, use-at-your-own risk thing, a lot of players do use exitzone just for the convenience of not having to walk all the way out of an area. If the cheats are causing problems for a significant number of people, then they probably weren't tested and debugged as well as they should have been.

There have been two or three other reports of the same behaviour. All of them have been from people using the exitzone cheat. It seems as if that's likely to be your problem.

Node chain won't work in Blades of Exile

Conveyor belts are quite buggy, especially in combination with changing terrains. It's best to avoid using them where possible.

I think a couple of the rectangle commands are also buggy, so that they only transform terrains in the top left corner of the rectangle. I'm not sure if Transform Rectangle is one of them.

Have you tried inserting a Display Message or something at the end of the chain to confirm that the nodes are actually being called, so that you know that that isn't the source of your problem?

You don't need to be around 24/7 to keep your computer switched off and password-protected when you're not using it, and are there really that many 5-year-olds sneaking off to public libraries?
