Standard procedure is to post the entire code of the problematic script in this topic. We're perfectly willing to help people if we can, but as a rule we don't go around looking for people we may or may not be able to help. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Drakey calls the Vahnatai language Novah, but that's not canonical. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

I have to admit I haven't played A3 either. But from what I've read of threads on it here, Jeff redid the golem tower entirely. Probably replaced it with a beam puzzle or something. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Perhaps people do indeed project an "image" of themselves online, but don't we moderate what we say and don't say in face-to-face conversation as well? To a very significant extent, we choose how we look to others as well; what else are clothes and cosmetics for? Why is a textual representation any less authentic than a physical representation? Maybe online someone lies about her age; she couldn't easily do that in person. Maybe offline she lies about how much time she spends browsing online forums; if she tried to do that on SW, her post count would soon tell a different story. Some of you know things about me that nobody I've met face-to-face knows. [ Thursday, October 21, 2004 22:51: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Rob a bank. No, seriously, pick up every item you find and sell the stuff you don't need. Put skill points into Mechanics so you can sell off some of your living tools. Don't buy spells you're not going to use. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Yep. I think there's another rare shield in the scenario too, now that you mention it. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Again judging by BoE, there could also be some ordinary walls that can crumble. I don't remember any in the Exile series, though. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Sort of, but they tend to be much shorter in duration, require less skill, and take place in mid/late secondary school (year 10, usually; around the age of 15 or 16). Basically you get a brief look at what goes on in the place you're posted at and get to do the sort of work they trained chimpanzees to do before that became illegal; fetching, filing, proofreading, etc. [ Wednesday, October 20, 2004 20:56: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! There are quite a few, actually. The Flaming Sword, Rogue's Vest, Pants of Power... I don't remember where the first two are, but the Pants of Power are on the bodies of one of the mages behind a secret passage. You can also steal a Fine Waveblade from the Vahnatai when you find them. It's arguably the best weapon in the scenario. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Um, Appie, work experience is a program designed to give people, well, experience in the workforce. The whole point is that you only work there for a couple of weeks to see if you like it. In exchange for a truly paltry payment, the employers get someone to fetch their coffee for two weeks. :P I was lucky enough to get a work experience placement a few years ago at a research hospital studying muscular dystrophy (well, it wasn't luck so much as family connections, but it amounts to the same thing). I've always had an interest in biology, so I rather enjoyed my time there. However, since I have a remarkable facility for screwing up when it comes to actually performing experiments, it's not entirely unlikely that I'll end up being some sort of educator. In the later stages of the game, I never found much to spend money on other than blessing pools. Getting blessed chainmail, cloaks and spears in particular is much easier with the pools, although most blessed weapons can just be bought in the FB. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! There are two main blessing pools: one in the Crone Caverns (usable only to Romans) and one in the Faerie Bazaar (usable to both Celts and Romans, but cheaper for Celts). You definitely can't use the one in the Bazaar before registering; I think you can get one use of the Crone Caverns one (if you're Roman, which you're apparently not). You can't stop the crones from cursing you, but you can start on a quest to get uncursed at the Faerie Bazaar. Unfortunately, you need to register to get there. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
