Although there's no way to tell whether a stat's been raised through the character editor, the HLPM, h*x-*d*t*ng, or just lots of skill potions or level-building.

It'd also help if we knew a little about the map; whether there were terrains, monsters, other fields, etc. on the spaces you tried to stick fields on.

You probably attacked one of your summoned creatures by mistake earlier on, rendering the town hostile. Whoops.

He seemed to imply that he wanted a verbatim quote from the game. If we got one, he'd probably demand a screenshot.

The answer is "sort of". You can have either the X and the Y dimension or the X and the Z dimension, but not all three at once (or not very well). Some sequences (like the Nephil dream in Redemption or the Vault of Chutes and Ladders in Adventurers' Club 2) play a little like platformers. Mostly, though, we've made do with standard 2D graphics for things like that.

Interbreeding isn't going to destroy genetic diversity; overall allele frequencies won't change, particular alleles will just be less concentrated in any given subpopulation. In any case, since there's still a tendency toward assortative mating -- people of similar ethnicity tend to pair up -- I don't think you'd have much to worry about even if it did.

The call you want is activate_hidden_group. It's documented under Town Calls in the appendices of the docs.

Alec, the Negroid/Caucasoid/Mongoloid division of "races" has been discredited for a good 50 years or so.

We're not intuitive, we're educated. I can't speak for anyone else's credentials, but I've spent two years studying genetics.

RS: We should be working to minimise the impact of evolution as a means of biological change anyway. We're now developing better alternatives.

Well, as regards your first question, if you're always ending up in the same place when you enter town it probably means the other places you're trying to move the party to aren't big enough to fit the party. Put more empty space (such as ground or floor) around where the party's meant to show up, and make sure there are no obstructions.

If the manual isn't canonical enough for you, then the reason you're replying is obviously that you want to waste my time.

1. If I remember correctly, the approximation you're looking for is pi = 22/7

2. Find and kill all your harmonics, find a use for the item Joel gives you if you help him, and leave through the Culet.

We see your script, yes, but you have to call the correct state within the town. We can't tell whether you're doing that from the script.

For your next question, place the creature in town and make it hidden, then use the encounter call to make it show up when it's meant to.

From Section 2.4 of the Exile I manual:
quote:
Exile has many missions, some small, some large, some game-spanning. There are several ways to win the game, of varying difficulty.
Section 3.4 of the Exile II manual contains exactly the same two sentences.

Human evolution hasn't stopped; the selective pressures have just changed. I predict that if society in developed countries were left just as it is to see how evolution would progress, a million years or so from now we'd see significant changes in at least our digestive and immune systems. Allergies, asthma (an immune-related disorder) and diet-related disorders are among the biggest diseases of affluence, and we can still stand to lose that appendix too.

However, as a transhumanist, I believe the biggest changes to the human species will be the ones we'll deliberately make to ourselves.
