I'm only one person; having my characters be four well-defined individuals with separate personalities and differing opinions is just a little too pathological for my tastes. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

1. Create a party. Save it while it's not in any scenarios. Use the Character Editor to edit its stats as you see fit. Include the saved game with your scenario. Note that you can't really force the player to use this party; you can only recommend it. 2. Players can only create new characters in the town they start in within any particular scenario. Unfortunately, you don't get to control what sort of character the player creates. Wow. That's just bad. I don't know where he got -300.5 from; anyone who's done a science degree should know that absolute zero is -273.15 degrees Celsius. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

There are a couple of factors in play as regards the differing lifespan of the sexes. Men have a spike of deaths in young adulthood due to accidents and suicide, and they also tend to develop cardiovascular disease at an earlier age (probably due to a mixture of dietary and hormonal factors). -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! It's futile to develop political solutions to a biological problem, which is that humans can't work productively together in groups of more than 150 people. The city is an unnatural entity. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Ah, the Sega Genesis (or, as it's called over here, the Mega Drive). Those were the days. I remember playing Phantasy Star II for hours and never getting past the second dungeon. (I eventually finished the damn thing with the aid of an emulator; the savegame battery had long since died.) RPG-wise, the Phantasy Star series was probably the best thing Sega had going for it, but it was sure good enough for me. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! You know, there's such a thing as seeing both sides of an issue. It's entirely necessary for politicians who want to represent all the people of their country instead of just the ones who voted for them. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Ow. You're screwed, I'm afraid -- although I think you can use the Character Editor to give yourself the ritual, if you don't mind cheating a little. I forget who you learn the ritual from. It might be someone in the Tower of Magi. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

The Onyx Scepter is for closing dimensional rifts, not portals. You have to turn the portal into a rift, which means you have to sabotage it. It's not hard to figure out how. Before going ahead, make sure you know the ritual necessary for using the Onyx Scepter. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Sounds like a bug, essentially caused by GF looking in the wrong place for information. I'm not surprised it crashed. I guess Jeff's save-loading routines aren't 100% robust -- were you running the game under low-memory conditions or something? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! What does your profile have to do with anything? As far as I can tell, it doesn't list "Hedge Inspector" as your occupation. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
