There aren't actually that many situations where it's useful. It only does a little more damage than Heartshock against most enemies, and it costs a lot more, so it's really only worth casting against targets immune to Heartshock, like the Widow Queen or the Crones. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Apparently it derives from "munik", meaning "name" in Shelta, a cant language based on Gaelic. [ Thursday, May 26, 2005 06:44: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

For the BoE editor to keep track of every single usage of every SDF in a scenario and display it in a useful, readable format would be completely impractical. A single SDF could be set and checked in a hundred different places in one scenario. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! It's not actually possible to do the graphic conversions at all in Windows. The OS doesn't handle resource files properly. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

One point of Blademaster is equivalent to one point of Melee Weapons plus one point of Pole Weapons. Barter is more complicated. Someone once constructed a table of how different shopkeepers react to different levels of Barter. All I remember was that the point was that you only needed a few points of Barter to get the best possible prices in some shops, but you needed a lot more to get the best possible prices in every shop. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! The key word being "successfully". There are plenty of bad Buddhists around. (Besides, Buddhism isn't really significantly less burdened with doctrine for the sake of doctrine than any other religion.) quote:The point is not that BoA scenarios should be canonical (of course they shouldn't), but that A4 could potentially introduce new canon which would actively conflict with the already-created scenarios of designers who at least try to be canon-compatible, which seems a little unfair. The problem is not running out of SDFs; it's keeping their numbering organised in a sensible way. The BoE editor docs suggest using a single A-value for a single town, but very often you need to use far more than 10 SDFs in a town. With 30 SDFs per A-value in BoA, this advice is much easier to follow. It would be pretty hard to actually run out of SDFs even in BoE, though. A maximum of 100 towns gives you an average of 30 SDFs per town -- even if you use the after-128 trick to give you 171 towns, that's still close to 20 SDFs per town, which is probably plenty. Scenario special nodes are a much stronger limiting factor in large scenarios.
