Scott Evans made Nightfall and Truffle Days. Both are good scenarios that were made before your time; they're still well worth playing, though. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Also, "manically depressed" isn't really the right term in this case anyway; so far as I can recall from having read the books, Marvin never showed signs of mania. (Besides, the preferred term for what used to be called "manic depression" is "bipolar disorder" anyway.) -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! It's gone far off-topic and isn't exactly a high-content thread, but people seem to be enjoying it and nobody's getting hurt. A gentle reminder to members that it's good form to think about whether a one-line post really contributes anything to a topic before posting it, and that we don't need every topic turning into the National Grammar Rodeo, might be in order. Actually, I think this is an excellent topic. The fact that nobody here will start out knowing all the answers means that we can all learn something. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

You're quite welcome. If you don't mind my asking, are you designing a scenario? From the way you talk, you're apparently at least somewhat familiar with the scripting system, and we always like to see new talent in the community. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! They're also high in calcium. It's pretty obvious that Eraserhead and Rubberskull are the same person. Both have email addresses in New Zealand, their names bear certain similarities, and their posting styles are also similar. (There's also the fact that RS has implied that he's EH, but an uncorroborated confession is dodgy evidence.) Nothing to do now but wait for an admin to show up and do what admins do best. Realmz (the poor, obese cousin of Exile) has a scenario editor, named Divinity. I'm not sure whether Divinity predated BoE or not. Before those two, there were quite a few other game-design programs available to the public. World Builder is a famous example for Mac, although it's more suited to making adventure games than RPGs. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Well, the latest version of the scenario on TM's site fixes the bug, but you can fix this yourself. Open up t9Fortress.txt and look for the line that reads: add_dialog_choice(0,"I will put you down, Sabertooth!",0); Change it to: add_dialog_choice(0,"I will put you down, Sabertooth!"); You may need to reload a saved game from a point before you triggered the error. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Everyone, be sure to email Jeff Vogel about this problem if you haven't already, so that he knows about it. He doesn't read these forums very often. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Yes, but what he wants is for there to be a removable blood stain, and there's no reliable, non-buggy way to remove stains in the current version of BoA. A problem with making them items would be that a player could walk around picking up blood stains off the ground, which would be silly. The administration here does generally prefer you to start new topics rather than reply to ones that have gone more than a week or so without any posts, though. Besides, Merlyn's the one who revived the topic, not you, so there's no need to be defensive. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure!
