I'd have no problem giving up my privacy provided it went both ways. If the Prime Minister wants to know what goes on in my bedroom, I want to know what goes on in his office.

I think, by the way, that I have found a satisfactory answer to the question I posed: anyone who would claim that might makes right understands neither might nor right.

Proof by contradiction is a valid logical technique. If it is in fact true that societies based on the principle of survival of the fittest do not survive, then they are by their own standards unfit.

Es war Wien, war Vienna

Er hatte Schulden denn er trank
Doch ihn liebten alle Frauen
Und jede rief:
Come on and rock me Amadeus

Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, oh oh oh Amadeus

Er war Superstar
Er war populär
Er war so exaltiert
Because er hatte Flair
Er war ein Virtuose
War ein Rockidol

Come on and rock me Amadeus

Come on and rock me Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, oh oh oh Amadeus

Es war um 1780
Und es war in Wien
No plastic money anymore
Die Banken gegen ihn
Woher die Schulden kamen
War wohl jedermann bekannt
Er war ein Mann der Frauen
Frauen liebten seinen Punk

Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, oh oh oh Amadeus

Come and rock me Amadeus...

Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Ja ja ja
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me

Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus
Amadeus Amadeus, oh oh oh Amadeus...

Anyone with any common sense keeps their best ideas to themselves and uses them to make their own BoE or BoA scenarios.

If you mean that the monsters or non-player characters are invisible, that's because something is wrong with your copy of the scenario's graphics file -- try redownloading, and make sure that you have the correct version for your platform (Mac or Windows).

If you mean that your player characters are invisible, that's odd. Could you post a screenshot to show us what you mean?

The best advice I can give you is to open up the scripts for other people's scenarios and see how they did things.

Also, the Cookbook may be useful to you.

See, here's the thing: it's not an original idea. About a dozen newbies before you have stumbled across the idea of mixing the Geneforge and Avernum continuity. It also sucks.

It's actually a bug in the item abilities themselves; some of them don't do what the documentation says they do.

Nope. To minimse the clutter, you could use multiple shops and cycle between them as days pass.

I'd ask you one question: why do you want to make a scenario? The people who have the most success finishing scenarios are people who design to tell stories that are important to them. What stories are important to you?

In English, the phrase "you know" often doesn't really mean anything. It's just something you say as a way of padding out a sentence.

If you want to ask a question to another user, that's what private messages are for. No need to clutter up the forums.

The leaders decide to just "erase" the avernites.
Here's an even better idea: how about you never make any suggestions for the future plot direction of the Avernum series ever again?

Or, if you're a Mac user, get Adium. It sucks, but hey, at least it sucks on 3 instant messaging services at once.

It is once you construct a mental image of Kel's penis flopping around collecting miscellaneous objects.

At that point I remembered I had left my yak behind and went to check on him, but when I got there I found that it had died because I was gone so long.

Not quite sure what to make of that.

Have you made any new friends or involved yourself with a new social group lately? Maybe you're afraid that the time you're spending with your new acquaintances is causing you to neglect those who have been loyal to you in the past. In general, it sounds like you have anxieties about how you're dividing your time between conflicting responsibilities.

Not that I really believe in dream interpretation, but that one kinda jumped out at me.

Given that there's a general perception that there's been some degree of rating inflation in recent scenarios, it may also be worthwhile to put a little note in your readme explaining why you're giving your scenario an R rating.

None of the cheat codes have underscores in them. In this topic we're talking about script editing, which is something different, and you don't use the cheat window for it.

To clarify: being asked to hold up the crystal 3 times isn't a bug (there are indeed 3 of them -- check your special items inventory before the fight), but being able to close the dialog box and have Rentar stay invulnerable definitely is.
