You probably can get by with 3 drayks. There are some areas that having more attacks per round will be better than more firepower per attack. After all if you can kill more opposing creations in a round they can't damage you. Replace drayks as they die with drakons. Be sure to get a volcanic fetish from Shaper Camp Gamma or Thornton to raise you fire shaping skills and try to get other shaping items like Monarch's Shaper robe for when you have to make a new creation. You left off drayks that are cheaper than wingbolts and don't run out of spell energy in long fights. It's easy to run with a group in chapter 3. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Maybe with daze and a lot of running past rebels you can make it into the Creator's Hall. Still you miss the experience and I think that you fail to set a flag for your Dhonal Isle decision. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Yes you can edit scripts. Check the editors that have been made for the game in the Avernum 4 header. I think it might give you what you want. Checked - It gives you more than that so you might want to edit out the other things and then after backing up the original file replace it with the new one. I think the anvil spell uses an existing anvil since in the Exile series X was interested in locating the largest anvil. Most summoning spells mention bring existing creatures to your aid and not creating them. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
Infiltrator making a small investment in Creations in Geneforge 4: Rebellion | |

Most of the game the infiltrator/agent can run solo. It helps at the end to make one powerful creation. In Geneforge 4 you can make most creations without having to invest any skill points in shaping skills if you wait until at least chapter 3, the Fens of Aziraph. Synergy showed how lopsided a strong battle magic infiltrator can be since items will allow for a decent combat ability when you need it. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Jeff revised some of the creations between the Mac and Windows versions. The creation tables are based on the Mac release so drayks and drakons do physical damage for their missle attacks instead of fire, etc. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Jeff mentioned earlier about a new cave section so I'm guessing that we don't start in Eastern Avernum. Avernum 2 had the chance to start with a fight in the opening fort so it looks like we get to fight something better than rats and goblins at the start. You missed *i recently added glower power in his signature. Also I, Randomizer, have physics and should have a few more mage spells although Dikiyoba usually has me using acid. That could lead to a fight where I die and then my opponent dissolves under a cloud of acid only seconds later. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Thanks for reducing the boring parts. You don't have to place all those spoons and other things that can't be sold. Us obsessive compulsives get tired of hauling them back to be sold or placed in pretty piles. Still like to see how it works for singleton characters. The experience penalty at the end was a pain. You might be surprised at the difficulty level that we can do. After all when you need more bodies there are summoning and charm spells for instant allies. I looked through the scripts and couldn't find enough points to get both bonuses. I might have missed a few in the town scripts. It looks like it would be easier to become good first and then work your way to evil. Evil has a nasty kick where you get marked so you don't want to claim the reward until the endgame. Edit - I'm now pretty sure that Jeff deliberately left out enough points to keep you from claiming both rewards. There are only 68 negative points and that's if you are Roman. It's even worse as a Celt. There would then be only 25 positive points for the good reward if you use only 60 of the negative points. 30 positive points to get the good reward leaves 58 negative points. So you only can power game for one. I'll post the complete info when the game is released. Daze will usually deal with his creations and sometimes even the shaper. If you betrayed the caravan to the Shapers and saw the vlish, then the shaper is supposed to let you pass. Still killing him is better for the dropped girdle of intelligence. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Luck increases the chance that things you kill will drop items for loot. It increases to differing degrees your resistance to damage, better to hit, and avoiding being hit. Also in some situations where you might die, you luck out and are left at 0 health. It's worth at least one luck level and in GF1 you can buy it. Monarch changed his name to distance himself from his previous failure at Empire building. He chooses not to remember that time except as a need to revenge himself on the Shapers. The Sholai appearance altered considerably from thin sailors to bulked up warriors from excessive canister use. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I assume it's the same for the original Nethergate. It isn't easy to be evil since there are so many little good things that you can accidentally do like helping Bevan retrieve his daughter in Galag Trav. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Armor has some encumbering effects early in the game. Natural mage allows you to have heavier armor , chain mail (20% penalty), without losing mage spell ability. You can offset the encumberance with defense and after a while you won't even notice it. Exceeding your weight allowance drops your action points to a minimum of 2 AP. This means that you waste a round dropping items. So avoid picking up items until after you have cleared an area and are returning to town. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

There are 3 main quests in Exile 1. Find a route to the surface, kill Grah-Hoth, and do Erika's quest to assassinate Hawthorne. They each have many smaller quests that need to be done as steps along the way. You need to do the Mayor of Formello's quest to retrieve her necklace to be able to get into the Castle from the Shareware part. Anything else is for fun usually. It helps to have done the Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Spider (GIFTS) quest and cleared the Mertis Spiral in order to have found 2 of the 5 brooches. Edit - Forgot that Motrax's Cave has a brooch. Take your time and explore. There is plenty to see and do so enjoy.
