The PDN could be lived with if the location and sig weren't almost identical as well. Tyranicus, I'm noticing that you tend to point these sorts of things out first. In other news today, Dikiyoba's party finally made it to Fort Draco. Hooray! It only took them a week. Originally by Zephyr Tempest: quote:28, actually. There's still five mods left alive. And I forgot that Enraged Slith made a brief appearance, which makes the total members left alive 23. ----- Zeviz, I fixed the typo back in Act 8 you noted. ----- Originally by Slartucker: quote:Specifically, what about it? (And why is GoldenKing missing it? He's been begging for such an appearance.) ----- Dikiyoba is attempting to shorten Dikiyoba's future posts in this topic by responding to interesting posts more often. I suppose it would be interesting to see how some of the first Avernites survive in Avernum, before there was a king and a government and before the wizards had worked all their magic. I'm not exactly sure what it would entail or how feasible it would be, but it is an interesting idea. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Act 10, Scene 1 is up. It's much longer than the last scene. But here's another long post anyway. ----- Edit: I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow, so don't expect the next scene tomorrow. (I'll still be on the boards, of course.) Even if I do get a scene out, it's likely to be very short. ----- On the small chance that some of you missed it: quote:----- Originally by Student of Trinity: quote:Just because you're dead doesn't mean you have to stop reading, you know. ----- Does anyone know when GoldenKing gets back? He's missing the best part. ----- Originally by Ephesos: quote:Why does Dikiyoba have the sudden, overwhelming urge to laugh madly? Edit: Never mind. Missed a line in the above post that made this post completely redundant. Now, to make something up so this post isn't totally worthless. Dikiyoba wonders why the goblin in the start-up screen is green while the goblin graphics in the game are tan. You could always reward experience for completing the "quests." Maybe not a lot, but some. I'm sure there is some way to determine what level a party starts at and give experience according to what level they are at, though I couldn't tell you exactly how to go about doing that. ----- Dikiyoba once met a sleep talker. One night, he (the sleep talker) dreamed that he was friends with a giant chipmunk named Puff Daddy. After the giant chipmunk razed his hometown for him, he went to Belgium and destroyed it just to get his hands on the recipe for Belgium waffles. True story. Or at least as true as dreams get. ----- Edit: Clarification. [ Monday, March 27, 2006 14:21: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

A crocodile's gender is determined by the temperature the egg is kept at as it develops. It's not the same thing as changing genders as an adult, but it is fascinating. Dikiyoba can't remember a thing about Jurassic Park except that trying to recreate dinosaurs is a very bad idea. It doesn't take ten minutes of extra time! Just kill everything in the zone, run around picking up everything in the zone, and then run back and dump everything into three piles: keep, sell, and trash. Run off to another zone and repeat. Once there are decent piles of goods to keep and sell, just run them back to the nearest town. Sell what needs to be sold and dump the rest by a pylon. Dikiyoba is not obsessive-compulsive. The fact that Dikiyoba's colored T-shirts are hung on matching hangers and arranged in groups according to color means nothing. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I think the biggest inconsistencies of the Exile/Avernum Trilogies have always been the dragons' gender. Linda always seemed crazy to Dikiyoba in A2. She's still obsessed with summoning demons, at least. Edit: Typo. [ Monday, March 27, 2006 05:33: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Also, some items are worthless. You can't sell items like trash or clay pots. Dikiyoba believes the cut off is four coins. Everything four coins or above is sellable. Everything below four coins is worthless and should be dumped. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by The Worst Man Ever: quote: quote:It is there and always was there. Dikiyoba's gimmick is using Dikiyoba's name instead of self-referential pronouns the entire final paragraph. In the above case, the entire final paragraph is just Dikiyoba's name. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Act 9, Scenes 3 and 4 are up. Apologies for the short length of both. My post will be long to compensate. ----- Originally by Internal666hate: quote:Anyone want to guess what the new line in the review section for Infernal666hate is? ----- Originally by the Lurker: quote:Go right ahead. Pylons haven't appeared in any previous Avernum game and they are common in the Geneforge games. I haven't run across any A4 pylons yet, though. "Dikiyoba" was originally a stupid acronym that had something to do with dinosaurs. Dikiyoba has no idea what it stands for now. Dikiyoba now uses it for all online purposes. The name "Dikiyoba" also has the ability to mutate seemingly at random. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
