Well, you already know that my opinion on your poem. I liked it a lot. The way you expres that hopelesness, that pure depression of the poem is something you are already well aware of it being something I find very beautifull. Also the way you constructed this poem (comment - spoken text - comment - spoken text - comment, or however you would like to put it) I find quite special and very nice. the way you end, focusing on only one of the group, is something I also find quite beautifull. Here is a poem I wrote while being depressed: ---- Looking outside the window Looking outside the window, I see blackness. The blackness of sorrow and pain. They are falling like a thousand drops, Pouring out like rain. The sun has vanished, Hiding behind the clouds. Thunder and lightning rule the day, While a thousand living corpses walk the world, Smelling of decay. And if the sun would come, Were there anything to see? How about the trees? How about the flowers? In between them all the bees? Lightning and thunder struck them down, And all that remains are their trunks, Equal to big, dark towers. That is what became of the trees, What became of the flowers. And if the clouds would remain, What would happen next? The world would turn insane, Making people mad. A darkness and fear would rule the day. Sun is our hope, To shine brightly all day, It will never go away, Making people happy, Making people free. The sun will need our help, For all those clouds are thick and evil. Their lightning will not strike us again, Together we will ban them from the world, I know we can… But thunder and lightning is still there, The sky remains untouched. For all I see is blackness, (Blackness like in death,) And all I can do about it, Is not much and even less. ----- To understand what exactly I mean: It wrote it while getting heavily depressed about The conflict in the middle east. I chose israel's side, as I always do (please, don't start a discussion about this). However, while it was inspired by this conflict I'm talking about terrorism as a whole, and not only the Palastines and Hesbollah. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. As was said, Where the rivers meet is very close to being released. Also, I started some time ago on making a new scenario. I will not tell anything about at this time, but these small hints: It was my biggest dream to make this scenario, with this specific plot; Nephilim. Also the title will be a secret for now. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Because he/she is a Romanian sounds very offending, you know. I would have rather hear you say: English is not your mother tongue. Anyways, that plot sounds indeed cliche, and not very inspiring. Unless its done well, i wouldn't really want to play it. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. IC: What a stupid question. Of course I want to live. And what is he doing now. he seems to be standing there, doing nothing. Sequoia stood in the middle of the passage, staring in blackness. He didn't seem to noticve anything for a short period of time. The silence was interupted by his cloak making some soft noises when the druid put the palm of his hand against the right side of his head. Then, he slowly moved his head to several sides, and finally spoke: "There!" "What is it?" Filbert asked. "Orloki, Cain, a demonic form, in any way. Strangely enough, the energy pulses come from beneath us somewhere. Come now. We must hurry and go on." Filbert obeyed. he didn't want another confrontation with the old man again. I'll just do as he does and hope for the best. He seems to be not entirely convinced that I shouldn't be dead. Also, what he said just now, about a score to settle... Hmmm. I'll just do as he tells me. The two of them finally started movinbg on. Sequoia first, Filbert right after him. Filbert looked at the druid while they walked on. Both of them were silent. Soon they found a passage to the right of them, leading downwards. It was still covered in the ice, though the passage seemed to be somewhat better constructed. Here and there the passage's ceiling seemed to be supported by some sort of wooden blocks. Filbert couldn't really say, as the ice covered everything. What also was suspicious, was the fact that the passage was not so much a slope, as crude steps. It looked like a staircase, and so it was. Sequoia and Filbert looked at the passage, staring at it suspiciously, until Filbert simply said: "You want to get to the demon, right? You said he is downstairs? This way you can get downstairs, so i suggest we continue this way." Sequoia nodded and they went on. OOC: I hope this is better. First and foremost, although it will probably not really halp you, update your OS to Mac OS 9.2.2. You can get the updates at Apple's support pages. Search for the updates, and you will get them. Now that i htink of it, mac OS 9.0 already had the auto-update feature built-in, no? If so, start it up, and it should find the updates. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! I realize that this wueation may sound a little egocentric, and I don't want to stand in your way of movinf to another host, but the following line worried me: "We do not support SFTP on shared hosting as it requeres shell access. We do not offer Shell access on shared hosting due to security reasons." Does that mean that I can't upload files to my website, which you host for me, no longer? Or does it only mean that I can't use SFTP (which I'm not using anyway), but only FTP connections? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. To be honest, I don't like to play such scenarios, for I like to create the personalities myself. When I make a new party, I always think of them coming from there and there, with a certain mentality (which is obviously most of the time just my own mentality) and a specific background. If that image I created for them is suddenly torn apart by the designer, I'm usually not very pleased with that. It gives me the feeling that a huge gap has appeared between me, the party's creator, and the party itself. In short: what happens for me in such scenarios, is that I feel helpless. I have lost the controls over my own party. So in general, I just don't like them, but more could be made, of course. Yeah, the old computers. The attic at my place is like a computer museum. its stacked with old computers, mice, keyboards, even printers. The nice things is, is that they all run as if they were bought yesterday. For the recor4d, I'm talking now about computers like my 24 year old Macplus. Or the Performa of about 12 years old. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! It may prove a good idea to send Jeff an email about this. That way you are sure he gets to see it. However, I doubt he will agree and make the ports (he may agree of course, but money-wise, it probably wouldn't make a lot of cash, and therefor not really worthwhile). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. About a month or so ago I bought myself a new Intel Imac. It works great, and is a big improvement over my old Imac G3. At the moment its running Mac OS 10.4.7, Windows XP SP2, Mac OS 6, and Mac OS 9 is on its way to be installed. Just waiting for the disc now. When I bouhgt the Imac, I put in an extra 1 GB of RAM, too. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. In what form is the outdoor's section coordinates returned? Is it something like "0,0" or is it the two numbers added up (in this exmaple "0") or is it something different? Thanks in advance. Ah, if that is the way you are looking at it, then you are certainly right. I saw it differently: They all know the same, although one knows more about it than the others, if you get what I mean. Right now I don't see what is best. maybe if some people could give their oppinion about this matter? it would be appreciated. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape.
