Just to catch up on the latest, does the confluence of account 391 changing hands and Kelandon's status mean anything? I'm not that big on gossip, except for inflated untruths, but I can't help but notice that Mar has been missing for a while now.

What gives?

I'm gonna have to call you on the darts bit, because (whether or not you realize it) you are wrong. The whole WSOP craze on ESPN has created THE MOST BORING SHOW ON EARTH.

Televised poker from the age when there was no camera showing the audience the hole cards. It was almost like you were playing, except that you wanted to shoot yourself because you weren't.

Try to beat that one...

According to the Beatles:
quote:

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

You think you lost your love,
When I saw her yesterday.
It's you she's thinking of
And she told me what to say.
She says she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad.

She said you hurt her so
She almost lost her mind.
But now she said she knows
You're not the hurting kind.
She says she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad. Ooh!

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
And with a love like that
You know you should be glad.

Although it's up to you,
I think it's only fair,
Pride can hurt you, too,
Apologize to her
Because she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad. Ooh!

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
And with a love like that
You know you should be glad.
With a love like that
You know you should be glad.
With a love like that,
You know you sho-o-ould
Be Glad!
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah Ye-ah.

So, be glad.

Isn't it odd that it is like that. I've attended pro and college football games and prefer them on television. Same with soccer. It must be all the running about on the field; it is easier to track it all on the screen. Fewer beers spilled one you as well. Hockey is borderline, with me preferring live college hockey and televised pro hockey. I think that has more to do with the stadiums than anything else.

Anyhow, I'm sure Drakey will eventually admit that he is wrong, and he actually loves watching baseball (including the Little League World Series) on television. ;)

Arguably so for those who have little interest in it. There's a lot of walking around, flipping bats, adjusting caps, spitting on the ground, and waiting for the catcher to call the pitch.

However, if you have a team you're rooting for, a player you're following, and love baseball, there's nothing that beats a good game.

A double-header between Boston and New York. That beats any good game.

I was excited to hear of a baseball game, played in Nebraska, that lasted 30 hours. Heartbroken to learn it was a Guiness game. Apparently some Canadians had played 25 hours in a previous game and it was the last thing that the US could take away from them. I won't be bothering to get the highlights DVD.

Aussie football is also good, in that there is no heavy emphasis on padding, while maintaining the extreme emphasis on mangling your opponent. That is good sport. While in poor taste, stingray wrestling is also a well thought of Australian extreme sport.

But more about test cricket. Do they get to take breaks? Cuz it would be more fun to have the bowler v batter endurance contest. When the batter falls asleep at the pitch, just whack 'im in the googley! That would be good TV.

Fine, it is possible to ride a bike in snow. However it is very unlikely that over 15 people would choose the same snowy day to say "Hey! This is the perfect day to ride to a bike to school. No way will I ride a crappy warm and solid bus when I have this perfectly cold and possibly unstable twin wheeled device available to me right after I thaw out the tires enough that they become detached from that pesky permafrost."

So... there! :P

*rubs hands together with glee*

Actually, basketball is the most boringest sport to ever grace a television. About the only thing one might watch for is a thrown chair or punch. Everything else is the same. Dribble, travel, pass, shoot, score. Over and over and over and over. It's one of the few sports were you have to score the object ball 40-50 times to remain competative in the game.

If I ever get broadcast television again, I'll look up test cricket. It sounds fun.

Can't a guy watch a movie? Sheesh. Anyhow, thank Ishtar I checked out this thread prior to starting a new poll. That would have been wrong. Just plain old wrong. Oh, the movie? Scary Movie 4. Watch it. Funny stuff.

Make creatures only move in one compass direction?

I want to have all my creatures in group x only move to the west. If something is in their way, then try NW then SW, and if nothing is possible there, then to fidget and say "Hurry, get out of my way."

I would do a cutscene, but I think it would be more fun to have the party be able to move about. They will be trying to get east.

Could you have the party "overhear" a conversation? That would naturally draw them closer to the secret door (opportunity for short cutscene here...) and then you could have text bubbles appear on the other side of the wall above two antagonists. Have it end with (a) one antagonist killing the other, (b) one antagonist teleporting away, or (c) both remaining to attack the party when they burst into the room. Then release the party from the grips of the cutscene as they see the secret study and are attacked.

Any other way would just suck.

Edit - Given the new information in the post below, your only option is (b) above. The orders would be given verbally (with the appropriate level of abuse for the muscle bound idiot) and in written form (so the idiot won't forget them, although he would need someone to read them for him) and the party could burst into the room just as the the order-giver teleports away. Muscle head attacks, and the party either ends up dead or with a handy special item note which can always be referred to if the party forgets what to do.

Belated, yes. But still the poll must be taken. Vote for the funniest (or otherwise your favorite) two captions for the self declared "unfunny" picture below. Correct answers will be rewarded accordingly.
