Well, considering that Seoth and Geltor haven't officially battled yet, Nalyd is feeling a bit sadistic. . . -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

Bah. Nalyd quit Runescape a long time ago. Too much walking, tedium, mindlessly useless skills required to get even moderately useful things. Horrible, really. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

Foolish mortal, your puny mind cannot comprehend the power I comm-" -Last words of the previous God of Storms. ---------------------------------------------------- Death stalked the village. Men dying where they stood and their skin swelling and bursting with their blood turned to steam. People fleeing in terror, but unable to get out, the pass was so choked with the dead bodies of the invading army. A lone figure, cloaked in black from head to toe, watched the village from a cliff far above the screaming, doomed masses. He turned away from the horrific devastation, without a single expression of regret or remorse. Good must die so it could live. Cycles must be reborn. Evil must have a foothold, so the Balance would not tip. A woman, beautiful and holy, watched the scene and wept. Wept with the sorrow that only the pure could know. Seoth had explained it to her, a hundred times over, refuting and parrying her most elaborate verbal arguments, but it did not change the fact. People, good and honest, were dying in incredible agony and horror. No amount of reasoning or expression could change that. The Gold began to tarnish. -------------------------------------------------- The liches in the Bone Dome had finished their great Book, the Mortuus Victus. It hadn't taken too long, what with the sheer numbers of researchers they had. They had all gone into experimentation and augmentation, now. The new spells and the changes to the old would be recorded in the Vinco Libri, which would change all of the other copies. It could be written in only by a lich or a god. The few mindless undead they had were doing the manual labor, etcetera, while the liches devoted, quite literally, all of their time to their task. The fortress had become a laboratory. Seoth stepped through a shadow inside of the Dome, and began to survey the Vinco Libri. Every once in a while a skeleton would walk through, record a note or make a change, and walk clatteringly back to it's master. After a few hours, Seoth sat back, quite impressed. "This will advance necromancy more than a hundred years worth of normalcy would have." Seoth pondered this for a long time. "Necromancy will no longer be reviled or persecuted unjustly. It will enter the world as a major player at last. . ." A realization struck him. He randomly teleported a couple of his liches into some random wildernesses. Grabbing the giant book, he teleported to the apex of the Dome. It was his creation. It owed him utter fealty. Putting his palm on the exact apex, Seoth slowly clenched his fist. The entire dome folded in upon itself, compacting until there was nothing left but an incredibly dense human skull. It fell to the earth, tumbling and turning. It made a crater in the ground and buried itself. There was more to the Balance than Good and Evil. Understood, and thank you. This sort of thing is quite common for Nalyd, actually. Come in, do good, make bad decisions, and ****s everything up. He'll be posting a remedy IC soon. EDIT- Actually, if anyone at all wants Nalyd to quit, say so and he will. Nalyd would like Lords of Magic-style combat. As in, you can give a certain command to any of your party members, and combat can be paused at any time. While paused, or not paused, a new command can be given. Spells must be specially selected, and their casting will not repeat like ranged and melee attacks will. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. As Geltor snapped Seoth's neck, all of the undead crumbled into dust.Krasonva screamed in triumph, and then noticed Geltor standing behind the now-lifeless suit of bone armor. She lunged, and charred his foot when he kicked her. Screaming, she got up. "Cowardly demon!!! Fight with honor!!!" Spewing holy death, she watched Geltor teleport away. She was about to chase him when she sensed the demon from before nearby. Stalking off, she began blasting random trees. ---------------------------------------------------- Seoth watched this all with great amusement. He had already transported his lich army, his resources, and the real Bone Dome far, far away. Into the near-space atmosphere, actually. It was more than safe from Geltor now. Seoth would put it back down, eventually. In the forest, this time, not outside it. Less conspicuous that way. Anyway, Seoth dispelled the illusion of a demon he had cast around himself, and proceeded to unleash godly wrath on the army surrounding him. Every demon he killed rose up and began to fight the other, still living demons. Geltor appeared almost immediately. Recreating his illusion, Seoth began to wildly fight the undead demons that had surrounded him. Geltor bellowed, and began hacking the undead to pieces with his giant flame sword. "What happened here?! where did these thing come from?! Speak, worm!" Geltor raged, directly in Seoth's face. "I. . . I don't know, master. A big bony guy came and killed us-" Geltor cut him off. "Seoth! Where are you?!" Geltor began to rampage in a random direction. Gleefully, Seoth made an illusion of a nondescript skeleton darting through the ranks of demons. Geltor saw it, and began to hack down the demons in his way. This went on for a while, with Geltor killing demons by the score, and the skele-lusion always darting back to the fleeing demons. Eventally, one of the demons decided to help it's god, and the skeleton vanished when he touched it. "Seoth! Where did you go!" Geltor, on a hunch, went back to the Bone Dome. Snickering sadistically, Seoth materialized and again began zombifying demons. Running around in confusion, the demons began killing themselves by accidentally running into giant broadswords, flailing whips, and fire. Eventually, a massive brawl started with every demon running from Seoth, and killing anything that moved. Some even began hacking at themselves in confusion. Satisfied with an army decimated, Seoth sent a hellish lightning storm, and went home. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Nalyd rarely plays Exile, and he usually has a party of three mages and three clerics. All Slith. In Avernum, Nalyd has a party of four Slithzerikai, Two warriors with Pole Weapons, and one mage and a cleric.
