Put Nalyd down for Darkside Loyalist. Not even Jeff is sadistic enough to make you the Anama. Or. . . is he?

The new flaming woman is a goddess. The necromancer will also play a part.

Seoth's Bone Dome is located almost exactly in the empty circle in the "e" of "Trantite".

Note- This section takes place immediately before Cassius and Kuberr came to the inn.

--------------------------------------------------

"Do you know where I can find a good healer. . . or at the very least, can you heal people?"

Seoth grinned. The youngling was more perceptive than he appeared.

"Yes, I can heal people, though your friend is fading away from that definition quite quickly. Fortunately for him, I have found a shortcut. Which room is he in?"

"The one at the end of tha hall, second floor. Hurry-" The man had disappeared.

Seoth knelt over the sweating Drigy. He raised his hand slowly, gently. Then, with the force of a mountain, he slammed it directly onto Drigy's forehead. Drigy shuddered and relaxed, dead. Sveltas' eyes widened in shock, and he began to stutter incoherently. Seoth waved his hand over Drigy. Black tendrils of death swirled downward, enveloping the corpse. Drigy's muscles rippled, growing with unnatural strength. His incisors, visible through his open mouth, lengthened and sharpened. He became a vampire.

Noric burst into the room. Seoth rose quietly. "Your friend is a vampire now, but his demonic corruption is cured. After my next meeting, I'll make a cure for him. Meanwhile, Noric, I've noticed that you are a neophyte god. James, apparently, abandoned you. You haven't learned much in the way of divinity, and I would like to teach you. What do you say?"

--------------------------------------------------

The flaming woman weakly hauled herself over the edge of the coffin, collapsing onto the stone floor. She stood up waveringly. The rotting remnants of the funeral shroud that had remained after her countless centuries in imprisonment had been burned away by her awakening. She was clad only in flame. Experimentally, she held up her quivering hand, trying to make a ball of flame. It appeared, writhing, twisting, erratic. It exploded, and the effort blacked her out.

A necromancer journeyed through the blighted woods, following his god's call. An orange light attracted his attention. He walked forward. . .

It's not necessary to kill Eliza. If she's too hard, you can always just run through to the other side.

Not at all. You can join anytime you want. It's best to have an introductory post with little plot value explaining who your character is and what he/she/it does.

Have fun!

Muffin, what was the point of that post? You've been acting noobish and arrogant lately. No offense, and it could just be Nalyd, but he's keeping an eye on you.

Edit- In response to Muffin(below). Yes, Nalyd is more mini-moddish than usual. But this is a genuine trend he has noticed. Nalyd is moderately sure than others have as well. And where in Tully's post does it refer to what Nalyd mentioned? Tully was commenting on Thuryl's post, in regards to the poll.

Oh, and Nalyd almost forgot. He has played as. . . Well, everything. Cheating and not. Of them all, Nalyd certainly liked pure Shaper the most. But the easiest was Shaper-Rebel mix with the Rebel ending.

Seoth considered the vampires' proposal. An obscure vampiress that nobody other than a god knew the existence of? Highly unlikely, though gods were known to keep secrets. Cassius, though was likely quite unfriendly to Seoth, after their last encounter. How could a large guild of vampires not know everything there was to know about vampirism? Seoth sighed mentally. He had nothing to lose, really.

"Very well then, Kuberr. I'll take your deal. Probably not the wisest thing to do, but I'm desperate. But enough of this speaking through your stupid bowl. Believe it or not, I have undead to instruct. I'll meet you in, say. . . Three days. At an inn in Kirkwood. Kuberr can find it for you. There'll be a god there. And you can tell me your price there too, since if you do it for 'free', you'll end up stealing or ruining something of mine."

Cutting off the spell, Seoth turned back to his now-murmuring commanders. "Well, back to what I was saying, our main threats are Marras and James. As the God of Death, Marras will have some control, at least, over our forces. James has begun amassing a semi-army of redundant deities. Butterflies, guards, yada-yada. They aren't a threat. James himself is a very ancient deity, though, and I'd be surprised if he doesn't have more than a dozen tricks for us. . ."

quote:

Deep in the blighted forest, a tomb sat. The explosion generated by Geltor had blown it half apart. A pale hand reached out of the ruins, grabbing hold of the edge of the top wall. The hand burst into flames. . .

Well, you aren't a pyromaniac communist who is angry at the government for taking his Uzi, so Nalyd is fine. And, yes, he does know someone who fits that exact description.

Um. . . LF, it would be helpful to know exactly how powerful your dynamic duo of side characters are.

Also, just to clear this up, how do you become a god in Kalandha? Nalyd was of the impression that you have to kill a god in order to ascend.

Edit- And can you people please stop making up random gods?

Oh, and in absence of a celebration topic, it's Nalyd's 13th birthday today.

Right. Liches have souls located outside their body. They're all located in a big storeroom in the Bone Dome. They can lease out their own souls if they want to do experiments. What, it's not a weakness to have all the souls of your commanders located in a single spot. . . :D

Edit- Typo.

Not to mention that Soeth has his Bone Dome in Trantite. Marras can't rely on the undead army for soul food because undead don't have souls. There's no reason for him to encroach into Seoth's territory.

Well, do you think all those Agents and Guardians learn hellishly deadly magic for fun? There are always tasks that can be done. Glorified side quests, maybe, but still plot-applicable.

Yes, please. In Geltor's case it's understandable, as he has few minions left. But for James, "Oh, we can have 25,000 people here, but we only ever have 5,000" is just stupid. For some reason or another, having huge, round, seemingly random numbers utterly detracts from readability. Huge lairs are. . . fine, as long as they aren't hellishly large. A Dome O' Death with moderate facilities and a spacy courtyard is alright, which is how Nalyd visualizes his fort. Not big, just nice enough.

But enough ranting. Calphrexo, Nalyd would like to leave the vampires to you. He can't do them justice as characters. You can always refuse, though.

Edit- Typo.
