I am Nicothodes online and to people in real life I don't know. I've never seen a reason to change it. I don't think I use my gimmick enough anymore to be recognized. *hands out cookies to remind people of gimmick, then goes on stabbing rampage* -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. This was the first year I didn't trick-or-treat. Unfortunately someone else at the video rental got to Nightmare Before Christmas before we did, so we watched Dawn of the Dead instead. The best part of the movie was the explanation why zombies were in a mall. "It's what they did in life. They don't know why they're here, they just are." We thought it described the vast majority of non-zombie shoppers. :P -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. We have cookies. I found the name in the book The Merlin Conspiracy, by Diana Wynne Jones, misspelled it when setting up an AIM account(in the book it's Nichothodes), and continued to use the wrong spelling. -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Woke up, ate breakfast, started recording a song, was interrupted by the maid(I'm currently in West Virginia), went off to the lobby of the hotel and wrote this post. Nothing too exciting, but I plan on going on a stabbing rampage later. -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. We have cookies. 1. On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate a turkey dinner by mom/dad? I HATE turkey. 2. Do you prefer cranberry sauce with turkey/other? Cranberry sauce is good on its own. See number 1 for the actual answer to the question. 3. Is pumpkin pie usually included? Yes. 4. Do you eat the turkey neck or throw it at someone? The second one is a good idea. 5. Is there anyone other than myself who absolutely adores turkey dressing? Again, I do NOT like turkey! I do not eat it, with or without dressing! 6. Any little traditions out of the usual? I hide in my aunt's basement. [ Tuesday, October 09, 2007 09:57: Message edited by: Nicothodes ] -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. I don't think your first question asks what you mean it to. Your possible answers should be "windows" and "mac" not "yes" and "no". I think most people here will answer yes to that question. -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. We have cookies. Rock, jazz, metal, classical. Those are the main ones, though I'll give anything a try if it's not rap or hip-hop. I'm not going to attempt to list bands I like as this post would constantly be being edited as I remembered something. I will say though that I have had the song "Heaven Forbid" by the Fray stuck in my head the past few days. -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. I mean, books where you got so attached to the characters and the plot that you're left in a sort of daze. Books that affected how you thought of the world. I just finished reading one: "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. It's about a girl's suicide note, which is sent to 13 people who, if you aren't able to guess, caused her to make her decision. Normally I wouldn't pick up a book about this subject because all the ones I've read have handled the subject completely wrong and I've found them offensive and have shown that the authors have not researched the topic well(what mental hospital forces the patients to go camping for a month before it releases them? or lets them go home for the holidays? yup, "Impulse" was a waste of time), but this one was reccommended to me and was incredible. Sorry about the run-on sentence. *hands out cookies in hopes people won't yell about it* :o -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. You can start looking for classes in your area. Community colleges are a good place to start. It's really good to find at least one person who is fairly good at the language and is willing to help you and have practice conversations. Don't just get a set of tapes or something. Though these are helpful, you NEED someone you can meet with in real life who can help you with pronunciation. -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil.
