For the population control : you can just have one kid ! This restriction doesn't applies to the nationnal minority peoples. But, in the campaigns, a lot of famillies have a lot more! If you want to have more than one kid, you have to pay: 10 000 yuans (+or- 850 US dollars) for the second kid, then 20 000 yuans for the third, etc... The japanese: of course, a lot of people HATE japanese! It's about the population massacre, the rapes, and, more important, the fact what the japanese gouvernment doesn't admit what they have done...You know, the german gouvernment beg for pardon, but the japanese just doesn't speak a word about it... Rest of the world: for a majority of people, it's just too far, so they don't care. The young people love the US, Japan, and South Korea: for them, it means a lot of money, a fun life, the fashion... People like Cuba, cause their television, and all the electronic stuff come from China! :) About the US, people just don't so care about it...In 95 (I think), the americans bomb (by error) a chinese ambassy: in Pekin, a lot of student go in the street to ask the gouvernment to make war!!!! With the recent wars, the chinese just think that your gouvernment is kinda scary! They're a little bit afraid of a war, but they believe in their country! About South America, we're just happy, cause we buy a lot of steel to build our country! There is an interesting fact: a lot of chinese immigrate to Canada, cause it's one of the only country who ask for more chinese! The chinese community is really big, and each year, it thousands and thousands of chinese who go to Canada, for study or for work. Nothing about Africa: we just don't care about...But there isn't a lot of black people in China, so, the chinese have kinda strange feeling about them. Of course, I'm totally okay with you about the social security!The thing in China is where is tax, but just for the big enterprises and company(or for the big cities, like Shanghai, Hongkong, Macau, and Pekin).For example, if you're the owner of a small restaurant, you don't pay tax! You know, the chinese gouvernment doesn't have a lot of money, and the corrupted politician steal the small it have!I think the gouvernment WANT the social security, but just doesn't have the power to make it. The Mao's spirit is not dead:you have to know that people respect Mao for what he have done.Before yelling and crying at this sentence, remember that before Mao, China was a feudal contry!Chinese people said about Mao:"70%good, 30%bad"...Of course, the cultural revolution is in the 30% bad.At the end of Mao's reign, he was sick, and three people choose the path for China:his wife, a concelor, and someone I've forget about; so the cultural revolution wasn't really Mao's stuff... Now, the chinese people want a powerfull country, but they aren't interested by the politic stuff, like vote! :) With the internet, the young people communicate with people of all the world, and are more open-minded:they speak about s*x (and Gods know it's taboo in China!), about democraty, and stuff.But they prefer speaking about computers RPG's games! :) Nah, really, they don't care about politic for one reason:a chinese don't think about himself, he think about his country!A big cultural difference, I think, due to the China's history:5000 years of war to make a unique country. Now, chinese people have freedom, but of course, it depends what you mean by freedom...For example, hospital in China are ****ing expensive, so, if you get a car accident, it's difficult to go at hospital, and you can die like that, in the street...But, I don't know how it works for the US, you're system is kinda difficult to understand (especially the vote stuff!). I live in the Yunnan province, it's REALLY not like Shaghai or Hongkong, who are more dvelopped. My town is a four millions souls province capitale, near the Vietnam, the Myanmar, and the Cambodia. I've benn around, on the poorest places in China, and it's true, the campaigns are poor... But, really, the gouvernement do a lot of effort to help the population, since the last ten years. They try to decentralize, and give the poorest places a lot of money.Of course, the biggest problem is corruption, so it doesn't go very fast... The economy change, the minds change also:people have the right to critique the gouvernment's policies, and there is, since some years, a democratic party. The people aren't oppressed, you can say what you think (mmh, perhaps not all you think, but so...), childrens aren't abused, the national minority are respected and helped, the contry's economy grow fast and well, and there isn't anyone starving in all China. In the Mao's period, it was harder, of course, but now, it's really better.Give China ten years, and it's gonna be a free and powerfull country! Peoples, if you don't no what to do for the holy-days, come and check by yourself! PS:About AIDS, it's true, the problem is really big, but now, the gouvernment give more information.When you think about China's problem, you have to keep in mind that it's the most populated contry of the world, with a ****ing big territory, a lot of borderlines with a lot of completely crazy contry surronding them! You know, in the 1900, China was like the european's middle-age contry.They have to grow fast, like Japan, but where the Japan grows insane, the China have keep the sanity. I live in China, and you can't speak about democracy in this contry... You can't disarm these mines.You have to trigger them.A good way to do what, is to have your warrior (or the PC who have the most HP pts) in combat mode, so he's the only one to suffer from the explosion (if the other PC are far enough from the mines).
