I think it's completely logical that nobody cared when Public Enemy got banned... I mean, that's a pretty bad track record he's got there...

Actually, yes I can. As long as there are elephants keeping the world off the turtle's back. Though I imagine that the gods wouldn't like me very much... I'd need to seek asylum somewhere with a well-grounded copper roof.

Also, I look forward to speaking with Death one day.

But back to the topic, that's atrocious... and yet it explains so much. I assume that's why we need the purges, then?

I somehow get the feeling that these happenings will slow things down around here... the fear of banning seems to be spreading, and the quickly-growing swamp of topics that is General is getting louder. Soon things will probably crash, followed by a long quiet period.

TM will be missed just as much as Ash, though moniker changes probably won't happen.

I'm not terribly surprised that he got banned, really... actually, I'm impressed that he lasted this long. (Last time, he lasted about three days before being re-banned, I believe)

I saw this thread and expected something like arghhhhhhhhh's new world with the improbable astrophysics and even more improbable ecology. Needless to say, I was relieved to find this instead.

Ed, they will most likely forgive you in due time, time which will be accelerated if you cease to bother them about it.

And problems with the script:
-Jeff wouldn't touch that topic with a ten-foot pole.
-TM would've wandered in at some point, as would most of us.
-Alorael should've been included.
-*i would've saved the cereal for later.

I highly doubt that SupaNik and Thralni will come near this topic.

In other news, this topic burns my eyes.

I cant believe theres no money cheat...character editor is so much more useful than "cheats"

Yes, all of the posts in this thread were truthful, and there is no more character editor (though Jeff says he might bring it back for A5).

And now, this thread can die the slow death...

—Alorael, who did that on his first time through A4 and didn't miss anything wonderful or even especially helpful.

Yes, in fact, most of the incredibly difficult doors in the game have little or no reward attached to opening them. I believe one in Patrick's Tower conceals a spellbook, but the rest are pathetically disappointing.

I believe the possible items to give him are Morog's dragon history scroll, the Melora opal, and the Crystal of Purity.

You'd know if you had them... they're special items. So in theory, you'd have to start over, or just cheat via character editor.

Out of curiosity, how did it take you 11 days to get to Khoth, without recovering any of the special items?

High Hoper, I predict that you'll have a coronary upon realizing the full magnitude of your proposed undertaking.

I won't deny that it'd be awesome, but I'll say that this would be a project requiring teamwork, and lots of it. Heck, it probably wouldn't ever get done even if you had ten people working on it.

Ed, I'm willing to forgive you, mostly because you haven't directly insulted me yet. (If you have, I didn't care)

But as the others have said, knock it off. You need to calm down. A lot... so please, no more using Spidweb like IM service, no more apology topics, no more pointless spam.

I'm sure you'll figure it out. Eventually.

I've always been a fan of luck. I believe that most studies revealed it to be a worthwhile investment.

I also find that Defense is good for every party member, though only main-line fighters should concentrate on it. A few levels in it definitely help.

Sometimes the colors are just strange... but usually the automap is your friend.

I'm beginning to think that some levels were just supposed to stay dark to the point of confusion. Perhaps it was meant to be atmosphere, but I don't think it worked.

Send a tank after the pylons, and just keep a substantial amount of healing power back. Coat everything with acid, and keep Bolting Kravit. Generally speaking, haste/bless/shield everyone, run in, smash him, and be ready to run out at any moment.

I do miss those adventures and preparing a character for them like getting Demonslayer in A2.
You know, I never realized this... but I really miss portals. I mean, there's not a single one in A4, if I recall correctly (not including the Ft. Avernum portal). I miss teleporting across levels, as well as the challenge frequently posed by single-character puzzles.

I believe you mean Harko. He's in a locked crypt under the Goblin Lair (the one south of Fort Monastery).

Sadly, you can only start collecting rat tails after getting that quest. After all, why would you bother if you didn't have the quest?

I think an 8.25 is in order for A1... would've been higher if only there had been a quest list. Also, not having A2's superior animations counts against it.

It beats A3, no matter how you look at it... the atmosphere, humor, and story are all very well-developed. It's a little sprawling and intimidating at first, really, but you warm to it quickly.

You probably don't have to go back for it. In fact, it sounds like you're far enough along that it shouldn't matter much.

Strange... wouldn't have thought that anyone would go the long route to get to the Scree Caves. I mean, they're the Scree Caves... (and they even got noticeably smaller in A4)
