Place that item and then click that thing right next to "Property" or "Not Property" that says "Contained." Make sure that the other items are contained and the one you want on top of the desk is not.

That's funny, because I knew about it, too, and I don't remember him mentioning it more than once or twice. But given the amount of time that he spent on justifying the Iraq War, if he merely mentioned the only legal justification "in passing," I think that may be evidence of a problem in itself.

If Saddam was actually defying U.N. inspections so badly that a war was necessary, why was it not deemed possible to get a U.N. resolution to that effect? France, Germany, and the other European countries were part of the inspections process as well, and few of them agreed with U.S. policy.

It should be noted, incidentally, that you're using the Blair argument, not the Bush argument. Blair has consistently cited 1441 and violations in the weapons inspections as justification for the war; Bush has rarely done so.

EDIT: Also, no matter how bad a regime is, "regime change" is not a legitimate reason for a war under U.S. or international law. We fought the Nazis because they started invading other countries, not because they were killing Jews. I'm not saying that's morally right; I'm saying that's the law.

I find this the-designing-community-is-a-disaster mentality quite strange. There are eighteen scenarios on CSR. Four are by Jeff and can't be attributed to the community at all. Three are by you, and I doubt you're calling your own works "infantile." Of the rest, Nine Vars, BS, and X'd should probably not be considered serious scenarios — they're not large or involved enouh. Six of the rest were by first-time designers, and if they're amateurish, well, your first effort was probably a tad more amateurish.

That leaves APF and LP, neither of which seem infantile to me.

They are already posted on the scenario tables. I doubt that anything else is getting in under the wire, given that nothing has been beta tested publicly. There's a chance, but it's small.

I just submitted Nine Vars to Spiderweb (why? I don't know), so whenever that gets posted, we can be pretty sure that's it.

The first part doesn't really have to do with Einsteinian relativity (it's Newtonian), and the second is not quite correct.

Also, neither of those statements include General Relativity, which has to do with accelerated motion.

If you're talking about Avernum 2's undead fort west of Formello, you use a Ritual of Sanctification on it, which can be found in northwest Formello, on a path outside the city walls but inside the city moat, through a secret passage.

EDIT: Eh, too slow.

This is easier. It's in the far northwest corner of the area past the guard spider. (There's a purple null bug nearby if you haven't killed it yet.) It's in a pile of rubble.

Just so you know, make use of the Edit button if you want to add new information to an old post. Generally that's better than posting several times in a row.

Well, if you want exact instructions, post your party's stats (including Useful Skills) and mention any item bonuses, and I'll tell you what the problem is. But the problem is that some stat is over 100 or a Useful Skill is over 200.

This is solved easily if you just make your god party following the instructions (exactly) in the HLPM, including that you not train anything.

Check out Bahs's START_STATE. You have to give the characters the ability for them to be able to use it.

Incidentally, Toast, I think it's fair to say that a number of those scenarios have been abandoned by this point. If the person hasn't posted in ages and the scenario hasn't come out, then it's probably no more.

So it's long, then. I wasn't sure about that.

And that's not a double-U sound -- that's closer to a single long U, or (by English spelling) an "oo" pronounced as in "food," as explained in the link in the link.

EDIT: And the rest of that post is of questionable accuracy. Letters had varying sounds based on their context only because the letters came from a Latin adaptation of a Greek adaptation of a Phoenician alphabet (which in turn came from somewhere else), so people borrowed alphabets that didn't really fit their language.

Languages have had vowels for a very long time, as far back at least as proto-Indo-European, which was an ancestor of proto-Celtic, which was an ancestor of Welsh.

Are those from the same dialogue script? If so, since the nodes have the same number, the first one will be ignored. And are those complete? They're both missing a "break" at the end.

Last time it happened was a little over two months ago (the Sanctuary thing), and before that, not for a loooooooong time, I think.

Funny. I've never seen Micael use the words "colour" or "honour" or "centre" or the like. Usually that's a dead giveaway.

EDIT: No, wait. I did, once, and I remember thinking, "Huh, that's weird."
