Kuc, I didn't assume anything. All I said was that, regardless of when you registered or a handful of posts that may have made long ago or how long you may have been lurking, for all intents and purposes, you just arrived. At any rate, I like GIFTS, except when people kill them in BoA's VoDT. Then I sort of wish that they had never existed. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Gymnastics is awesome. It makes you act faster in combat, but more importantly, when you raise it to 10 or so, low-level creatures can't hit you anymore and other things have significant disadvantages to hitting. I've never noticed Anatomy make any difference, but it claims to provide a little more damage to humanoid creatures (and a bonus to First Aid, as if that mattered). -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. A. The call char_ok checks this. B. The call deduct_ap should be able to accomplish this (although make sure you're using the latest version of BoA). If I've somehow misunderstood you and you intend to end a monster's combat turn, not the PC's, use end_combat_turn. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. quote:Unless you're, you know, playing to win. Towards the topic: no. I make new parties for every scenario (because I'm trying to figure out the right blend of statistics, which ones are useful and which ones aren't, and in what combinations), and since each scenario is set in a totally different place and few of them have any possibility of having any sort of continuity from a role-playing stand-point, I don't determine the personality of my characters until I'm in the scenario. Generally my characters distrust authority but keep their oaths, and generally they don't like the Empire much. The only scenario in which this has mattered so far is ASR. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Given that JadeWolf has been around continuously until now longer than you have, Kuc, that welcome may be somewhat misplaced. I think the dragons are hermaphroditic. That's the only way to explain the gender-bending that they do. Sulfras normally is a female. For instance, when you approach her and talk to her in A1, she is referred to as "she." The Spiderweb BoE forum was never particularly active. The Lyceum has always been where it's at for BoE. But turnaround time for a question on these boards is generally 12-24 hours on the AT or ET boards and 24-48 on BoE or BoA, because usually the questions are more obscure when having to do with Blades. That is, even people who play Blades may not know the answer to your question because they haven't played the particular scenario, which is unfortunately the case with me. But be patient and someone will come along soon. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Micael, as a general rule, when your question can easily be answered by reading the documentation (or looking at another scenario), don't ask it on these boards. Just read the docs. Yes. I did it with Forcecage, Cloud of Blades, and an obscene number of Energy Potions, but there are surely more efficient ways. I think it is Welsh, yes. And as you might have noticed, a topic slightly older than this one has a discussion of how to pronounce Welsh names. As I said in that thread, I think "it should be AN-oon, as in the "oo" in "good" (because I think it's short)." -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Uh huh. Normally people say the boiling point is 100°C or 212°F. It's a tad lower in, say, Denver, but that doesn't make much difference. 100°F is (quick mental math) around 38°C.
