Hello, I am curious. The scenarios are going to be sent in by June 1, 2005 for the contest. How soon will they be posted after they are received so we can download and play them. They are already posted on the scenario tables. I doubt that anything else is getting in under the wire, given that nothing has been beta tested publicly. There's a chance, but it's small. I just submitted Nine Vars to Spiderweb (why? It's in the contest, in theory. I expect it to take last. But here's the thing. I've been looking at the scenario production out of the past year. Here's how it breaks down: There are eighteen scenarios on CSR. Four of those scenarios are by Jeff and obviously ineligible. APF and BS are by beta testers and therefore ineligible. I don't think DaC ever got submitted, because it's not on the tables and never has been. That leaves eleven scenarios. Jeff may not do what he did last time and consider a designer's work as a whole, because that would eliminate four more (LP, 9V, RoR, and EM), which means he wouldn't even be able to fill out a top ten. That's strange — when the rules say "submit by June 1," I just assumed they meant by 12:00:01 a.m. PST on June 1st (which was nine and a half hours ago). been a while since you've been in school, I see. whenever a teacher/professor is foolish enough to be so unspecific, students take that as "the last possible instant which could conceivably be referred to as the last date mentioned". hence, 20050601 2359'59 (Pacific Time). This has real world precedent as well, my lease says "rent is due by the 3rd", this means the 3rd is the last date to put rent into the office (including their night drop) without receiving a late fee. I would assume it would mean by the end of June 1st, e.g. Midnight today at Spiderwebs location. That would make the most sense.
