Assuming you don't have strong archers or a party that can just bless, haste, and run by, you may wish to come back later, after exploring the school a bit.

To enter the buildings, there are secret passages at (16,6) and (14,9), but to get there you need to survive a whole bunch of archers. If you're not strong enough, take Kel's advice.

I am having the same problem minus the not killing them all part. Basically, I can't get in the rooms where the weapons and stuff is.What does (16,6) and (14,9) mean?

Those are X and Y coordinates. If you're using a Mac and playing in a window instead of full screen, there's a menu option to display your party's current location.

If you don't have a Mac or you're too cool to play in windowed mode, here are instructions:

1) Enter bandit hideout.
2) Continue along the only path you can, being shot at as you go.
3) Reach end; notice the only unobstructed way to continue is to go back outside.
4) Enter the small western side tunnel; the wall in your way is a secret door.
5) Pass through a similarly disguised door to the south.
