Hi, I'm Traci. Most people on the boards call me 'Gizmo'. (Well, to my face anyways. :P ) Twenty-six, married, stay-at-home mother of four. I was engaged at 14, married at 18, mother at 19 and have found that computer games are good stress relievers. Conservative strictly Bible-based protestant Christian/ politically right-wing/ phlegmatic-phlegmatic and just a little bit nutz. In the community I maintain the fansite TrueSite for Blades and try to smother TM with unsolicited love fairly often. ...which reminds me. *smothers TM with love* Edit: I almost forgot, I'm a bit forgetful at times also... well, ok, I'm very forgetful, but you shouldn't be affected much. On Topic: I would be very suspicious if a stranger paid me a compliment. As explained in the embarassing moment thread, 'Nice shirt.' implies someting more devious just as in fifth grade 'Nice pants.' meant your zipper's down but I'm just gonna laugh at you instead of tell you. Most adults do mature but my first instinct would still be, 'What's wrong?'. Just having someone say 'Hello' here would be good enough since the city culture is kind of closed. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. The first time I defeated the last Boss in Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link. After so many hours, after so many failures, I finally broke through and won the game! I was on cloud nine for weeks. I am so out of the loop... :( My prayers for all in New Orleans, and my hopes that they will decide not to rebuild, at least not in "the bowl". Car related - Subject A: I'm driving through the parking lot at high school and come to the intersection with the street. I stop because there's a car coming and am promptly rear-ended by another student. No damage to my car so we both agree not to report it. The next day at school, though, I find out that he's told everyone he knows that I stopped too fast. (Which I'm sure at 15MPH in the first place was incredibly fast.) Subject B (much better): Six months ago, driving home as I always do, pulling into the driveway as I always do, gliding up close to the garage as I always do(the suspense is killing you insn't it?), stepping on the brake as I always do... only to find the garage door suddenly on my hood. I had stepped on the gas instead... $700 dollars later the garage door is fixed, but I don't think I'll ever live it down. Explosion/Fire related - Subject A: At age eight, I picked up a lit fire cracker to see why it hadn't gone off yet. The answer was I hadn't waited long enouth. I suffered only two numb fingers and a ringing of the ear, but learned much that day. Subject B: Also at age eight, while playing with fire, without supervision, as I was prone to do, a lot, I threw away a lighted match. Problem was my waste basket was a paper bag. It started to flare up, so I pinched closed the top to smother the flames. When I tried to peek in to see if it had gone out yet smoke billowed out. I didn't want anyone to smell the smoke so I opened my bedroom window and placed the bag out on top of the porch roof through the broken screen. I left the bag there, and closed the window, since obviously the fire had been put out by my quick wit and smart thinking. A minute later when I glanced out the window the bag was engulfed in flames. I grabbed a towel out of the bathroom, soaked it, and made sure the fire was all the way out this time, but I'd ruined a perfectly good towel and melted the antenna cord (we didn't have cable). I got rid of the evidence without anyone noticing but we lost four channels that day. My parents still blame it on the new broadcasting antenna put up in town around the same time, but I know the truth. It does, but it takes a bit of getting used to. The first time I opened up the editor and saw all those 'Unused' fields I was a confused too. There is only one template for entering in a myriad of groups of data, and the fields for this data may not always be for the same type of data. My advice is to make a testing scenario. It's often hard to understand a technical book without seeing what the coding does. Make some test specials and try them out. For all I've worked with the editor, I haven't even touched over half the node types, but I could still make a finishable scenario. So it's not essential that you understand everything right away. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. Isn't 12th grade senior year? I loved most of K-12. I'd say 7th grade was my hardest year since I had very few friends in the same classes as me. If ever I have the chance, I hope to go back to school. For nursing or accounting or... I don't really care what, just to feel productive again. -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev.
