Childhood Favorites:

Batteries not Included
Short Circuit (both 1 and 2)
TMNT (original only, not the icky sequels)
Ghost Busters (1, not 2)
Indiana Jones: Last Crucade (though Temple of Doom gave me nightmares for a time)

Modern Favorites:

Shawshank Redemption
X-men 1 and 2
LotR trillogy
Spiderman 1 and 2

I love most Si-fi/fantasy and thrillers, but hate horror. I enjoy comedy and can appreciate rommace as long as it's not too mushy. Eye candy over plot, favorite actors over great acting. I am shallow that way...

Wouldn't you know it... I think that the 'searching for clues' bit (or really the 'finding clues' bit) is the best part of a scenario.

Go, figure. :P

I would be wholy for extending the final voting to four candidates if Drakey would be so kind as to allow it.

Lord Brocktree was my first book. I loved it and proceeded to start the others in the series, starting from first published, but imo I haven't read enough of them to pick a favorite of the group. Plus the events of one book sort of blend into the events of the next so much so that I can't really sort out what was in which. Based soley on event, the revelation of the Badger Lord treasure was my favorite so far. I think that was in Salamandastron but I can't be sure.

Yippee! More graphics. :)

I disagree that they're better though. The cartoony feel is good at times but the level of detail is greatly decreased and the sliths just look plain bad. (of course, it's hard to make a good slith in the first place) I prefer a minimal shading and depth in graphics. The ogre imo is really good.

Was there no standing/attacking stance difference?

Anyone else notice this?

I have noticed it. It's not that there are more scenarios, but that some of the scenarios with longer names take up more then one line. It's like one of the columns' width keeps changing. I have seen no real pattern to when it's correct and when it's wrong, so I couldn't tell you what's going on. I have Firefox as a browser incase it matters.

Hey, but you know that Pluto was not written by Holst himself, but added later on by one of his pupils, I've forgotten the name? Pluto had not yet been discovered when Holst wrote his movements. He never felt comfortable with their growing popularity, and when people urged him to come up with a Pluto piece later on, did not wish to return to the Planets' project.

Did you ever listen to the Pluto piece? :P

It was supposed to be a joke. I had not listened to any of the planets before this thread. I googled up a bit about them, found out there was (supposedly) no Pluto, and made a joke of it. Doesn't work quite as well when a Pluto movement does indeed exsist. So as of now I have listened to all but Pluto. Mars is deffinately my favorite, most reminiscent of Star Wars and a pc game I enjoy. The others in order; Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, Mercury, Saturn.

My condolences and my prayers.

It is very sad when any group decides that the best way to get what they want is to kill as many 'enemies' as they can.

My revulsion is quite unreasonable, considering how I love LotR with the very frequent chopping off of limbs and heads and death in general. Of course war and blood/flesh sacrifice are two very different things in my mind. Then there's always my own brush with witchcraft that causes me to run the opposite direction whenever it is mentioned. The fourth book really opened my eyes to what I was reading about, and finding enjoyment in, and imitating. My unsheltered childhood had desensitized me to the ways of the world enough that I was embracing them. Now I am painfully aware of all refrences to witchcraft. I cannot even watch Tom and Jerry and the Magic Ring without cringing. So go ahead and laugh, my brother. Go ahead and laugh.

Yes, well... I've always found Pluto to be most fascinating... very mysterious... very... planet-like. The way the melodies and the harmonies go up and down in various directions, getting louder and softer in spots... Yep, I'd deffinately have to say that Pluto is my favorite.

What are the good scenarios? in Blades of Exile

For instance, if you loved Exile 3 then you'd probably like Adventurer's Club. And if you loved A Mild Rebellion, you'd probably like Tatterdemalion. If you'd rather have short and sweet, I suggest Back to Normal, The Magnificent Six, and Odessa's Journey. There are many other good scenarios, most of which I have not played yet either, but thought I'd give you a start.

The 4th of July is my personal favorite holiday. Not that I actively care much about independence (though I'm sure I would if I didn't have any) but because setting fire to things that go boom is highly entertaining.

We did the family fireworks Saturday night and will go out tonight to watch a city display.

Tisk, tisk. You all have very dirty minds!

Never confuse my love for TM to be anything other than platonic esteem. You tarnish it by the very thought! I just get bored of expressing it the same way all the time. I tried to *smother* as I usually do but could only find 'sufoca' which does not sound quite as nice at all. *Sprinkles* was my alternative but I am certainly not implying to sprinkle what your naughty, naughty minds have come up with. If love has any form at all, it is in that of pixie dust, of course.

I usually say it much less, so it's not as noticable. I suppose my recent 'loving' spree has been spurred on by his absence. I was already suffering withdrawal before I got back, and now I must wait longer. So you suffer along with me having to read my overcompensation... Just my way of saying I know he's not as bad as others say he is. With the recent flurry of attacks I feel compelled...

Don't try to understand me, it will only confuse you more. :P

Ashen was excited. Juniper was unnerved. "We should not be here," she cautioned in a harsh whisper. "We will be caught!"

"Well, we will if you keep on talking," he whispered back. He put his finger to his lips as he turned his gaze back to the city. Never before had Ashen felt such exhilleration, never before had he been on such an adventure. He barely noticed his own weakness from the distince, but he had noticed Juniper's.

Crouched with only a few trees between herself and vast ammounts of unknown enemies, Juniper could not contain her fear. She was exhausted from the journey and very faint. They had found Lady Opal and she had reported such a horror story to them that Juniper knew she had lost something she'd never be able to regain. The dead were being raised for labor by the humans of this city. They harvested lumber at their masters' direction which would have been bad enough but something Juniper had never known possible was happening. The magics used to raise the dead resonated within their corpses. It seeped out of them. It polluted the water. It poisoned the soil. It wilted the leaves and twisted the branches. It changed the spirits to viscious, mindless zombies. The awakened ran about attacking anything in sight and those at rest were unpredictable. Juniper had no desire what-so-ever to come in contact with some vile undead creature that was able to make her lose her mind. She looked suspiciously at the trees they stood by quaking. "Please, Ashen! Let us leave this place! We have our information, now let us go before we cannot return and fail in our purpose."

Ashen turned back to Juniper. He could not ignore her pale countenance, her shaking form, her terrified eyes. She would never make it on the mission he had in mind. "You go," he said firmly. Juniper started to protest but he quieted her with a kiss. Holding her head in his hands he reassured her. "You go back and report what we have learned. I will follow soon. I want to try and see what kind of magics they are using. If we are to battle these undead at all we must know what we are dealing with."

Juniper stared at his eyes, gripping his hands. "No! It's too dangerous Ashen, no!"

"I'll be fine," he whispered. "I won't leave till I try."

"OK." she finally resigned. She knew there was no changing his mind. "Please, be careful." A last embrace and she was off. She gained a second wind in the knowledge that she was leaving this awful place behind her. Eyes alert, she silently ran towards the northern shore where she would call the sea creatures to aid her in crossing. Her tears began to flow as she ran. She had the undeniable feeling that Ashen would soon be in grave danger.

OOC: Something for you write in your spare time (hopefully to post immediately upon your return). Give me a glimpse at the inner workings of Biggail. I dare not presume to know the least of your mind. Ashen's life is in your hands. Do with it as you please.

I used to like the series but the fourth book totally turned me off. I can appreciate some good imaginative fun with magic, but start cutting off people's hands to bring others back from the semi-dead and I'm not enjoying myself anymore.
