I've gotten through five. It's been difficult getting the computer since I now have three children who insist on playing The Sims every spare moment of the day. It only works on my computer, of course. I did hide the CD on Friday but we've had a busy weekend entertaining. It's only one more week. You can wait. It makes sense to cut Imban. If anyone kills Imban, they kill everyone including themselves and the deathmatch has no winner, on the other side no matter who wins, Imban also wins. I guess you could cut Stewboy, too. I don't think he'll make it very far with only growling. I just picture him with sad puppy dog eyes when he gets left out. Call me old-fashioned, but I think it's the meltdown of the family. Divorce is rampant leaving many children ripped from parents that they really need. Boys are seperated from their fathers and, in many cases, left to live most of the time with their mothers, who as women, don't really know how to teach them to be men. (Also many mothers, hurt from the divorce, will constantly put down the fathers in front of their children giving the image 'men are bad'.) With absent fathers in many boys' lives they have to turn to other male role models to compensate. The most available male rolemodels are those seen on TV. And when, as already stated, our media culture glorifies violence and puts an unrealistic expectation of 'falling in love' and 'things always work out for the good guy' into their minds, it's little wonder that more and more people are turning to drugs, alcohol, and crime when their 'happily ever after' never shows up. At least this is the opinion I've come out with after watching the Bringing up Boys series by Dr. Dobbson. The session on statistics alone blew my mind. I cut off six inches of my hair, got three movies in the mail from Netflix only two days after ordering them, and got the kids to go to bed on time for the first time in a month. But hubby was born on a Friday the 13th. (hospital room 313) I see nothing unlucky about the combinaiton. Quite the opposite. I hate Monopoly! You always know who's going to win 30 minutes before the game is over. I've always wanted to quit that game before it was done, even if I was winning. Scrabble is good when playing with adults, Rumble in the Jungle is the kids' favorite. Hubby prefers Trivial Persuit but I think it's boring. How about Pictionary? I think in pictures already so I'm pretty good at that game, though it's not exactly played with a board. I love playing Chicken Foot too, but that's a domino game. I've played Apples to Apples before. It's OK, but I wouldn't call it the best party game ever.
