Alec is right because Alec is always right. I reject the challenge, though, not because it would be pointless to prove once again that Alec is right, but because if I had the time and gumption to actually conduct such a study, I'd rather use it to work on a scenario or something similar that would result in an end product that has a slight chance of maybe being worthy of the work that went into it a month from now. Instead I propose a new challenge. Write a ten page essay on the one thing that you most want to accomplish in your lifetime. Include short-term and long-term goals and a strategy or plan of action for carrying it through. Then follow your plan and make it happen. If a designer is willing to make their scenairo better, then threads like these are entirely appropriate. A designer can only fix problems they know about. On the otherhand, if the designer says they don't want to fix it, then it becomes complaining. I think most designers want to fix mistakes if they can be. And many readmes, if not the scenario itself, have instructions for players to e-mail the author if they find a bug. In the case of this scenario, since it's so big, it's easy to miss things in beta testing. I'd rather not lay eggs. Chicken or baby sized. Technology has come far enough that women can take medication to stop menstration all together if they don't want to get pregnant, and pregnancy itself stops menstration usually until weening time. There is one major point that no one has yet to address. Who's gonna sit on the fertile egg to wait until it hatches? Pregnancy now is not extremely cumbersome but having to sit in one spot for even one day would be torture to me. Sure, the responsibility can be shared and even outsourced to technology. But then what happens if the eggsitter takes a too-long bathroom break or that technology breaks down in the middle of the night? I see marital discorse and lawsuits galore in the making. Abortion (and adoption, I think) would be a whole lot easier though. Just leave your fertile egg unattended to die of cold or smash it and dispose of it in your own home. With no abortion clinics to pickit, pro-lifers would have to go the route of informational booths on good egg care and where you can leave unwanted fertile eggs no questions asked. Then there's the whole 'how do you tell if an egg is fertilized' question. I always wait for the redirect and usually end up editing (multiple times) shortly after. I only have another window or tab open to a topic if I'm trying to quote more then one person in the same post. The dictonary is usually open though. While I'm thinking about it, did anybody else have a problem with Firefox's last update? My computer will no longer allow Firefox to access the web.
