If you're concerned with this, just take away summon shade. If you're feeling charitable, then give it back at the end of the game, let them go break somebody else's scenario. :D

It occurs to me that most parties that come into Exodus with high-level Summon Shade probably got it from the HLPM, since the HLPM sells Summon Shade to a level-55 party at up to level 10.

How ironic.

I must say that the enormous response I see that these Exodus updates get, take me a little by surprise. is ti just that everybody wants Exodus to be better, or does everybody like finding some minor bug and complain about it?

Doesn't Divine Host do something similar if it reaches too high a level?

Anyway, I'm sure there are many motives for the bug spree. Some are just trying to nitpick, others are genuinely trying to make the scenario better, and there's probably a few who feel guilty about the contest results, and are trying to make up for it.

EDIT: This is the second time I've made a mistake spelling 'too'.

If a designer is willing to make their scenairo better, then threads like these are entirely appropriate. A designer can only fix problems they know about.

On the otherhand, if the designer says they don't want to fix it, then it becomes complaining. I think most designers want to fix mistakes if they can be. And many readmes, if not the scenario itself, have instructions for players to e-mail the author if they find a bug.

In the case of this scenario, since it's so big, it's easy to miss things in beta testing. This is kinda like an open beta.

I know. That's why I made a thread about WtRM.

There is nothing more annoying than someone saying just, "This scenario is glitchy." That's not helpful. At all. I need to know where and when and how.

I have a 60some level slith fighter who is divinely touched. Whenever he uses his summon shade Abliity, he gets a blue glowing slith called "The Goddess". I'm in the Lava Lizard Caves right now if that helps.

That's sounds less like a bug and more like an undocumented feature to Dikiyoba. :P

The creature that the Goddess is replacing is, by default, a wolf. This, too, is probably beyond my control.

Somehow, that's rather appropriate. :)
