I don't know. I'm more with the mandatory organ and stem cell donation crowd. Why waste good young bodies when they could provide so much valuable material for research and medicine? —Alorael, who also thinks that mass murder sounds much better when it can be covered with the research euphemism of "sacrifice." CyberWolf, too many of your few posts have been asking people to go to other sites. You haven't actually contributed anything to Spiderweb that I can recall. This is your final warning to stop posting solicitations. —Alorael, who wouldn't mind so much if this were in any way attached to Spiderweb. But it's not, you're not, and this worse than spam. The only think that can protect you is THE MACHINE, and he's out of order, currently. —Alorael, who supposes Mao Zedong would make an adequate substitute. He can't really help, of course, but he can try. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I remember him when he was an innocent Nova Scotian mutant black cabbage farmer. He was a nice guy with innocent dreams of evil overlordship. What happened to those happy days? —Alorael, who will go indulge in nostalgia for a while, complete with skribbane and sniping. There hasn't been much of that recently. Stareye isn't so bad. At least he has no unhealthy fruit fixation. And he's nonpartisan in the vahnatai creationism debates. You could do a lot worse than Stareye. —Alorael, who would humbly submit that having Jeff as the active admin would be terrifying. Can you imagine dealing with the man who created the GIFTS, the Scorched Earth Party, and Cordelia on a day to day basis? Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I'd say just about anything involving a Mad Monk is not something you want to be part of. —Alorael, who has feisty slap of pain nightmares still. The skribbane doesn't help, although it is, of course, quite nice anyway. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Most people who do this either get lectured or get some leeway because they have many more pertinent posts in between. You barely have enough posts to have one between anything, and you're already producing spam of a sort. —Alorael, who would like to once again unequally enforce the rules of General. This is not Misc, even if it looks like it sometimes. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

The scripts aren't true programming. You can only have the do in-game tasks, nothing involving the computer. I imagine that would be a pain to set up for both Macs and PC's as well. —Alorael, who doesn't think any good workaround will appear. If you can come up with one when BoA is out, though, everyone will be suitably grateful. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

If you spam, you will be told in no uncertain terms. If you don't, everyone will eventually forget about it, or at least stop browbeating you about it. If you post like this and remind everyone, you will never be considered a good member, both because these topics are effectively spam themselves and because they bring back the memories of worse times for spam. —Alorael, who can't think of any time someone has posted a poll like this and not been called a spammer. Either only spammers post them or the posts make people seem like spammers. Either way, avoid them. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

The problem is vahnatai would be very good at gymnastics. They're built to do it much better than you are. That would be much like doing a crossword puzzle as the ogre yourself. —Alorael, who would rather not do that, either. But then, he's not a huge crossword puzzle fan. His brain doesn't quite work the right way, or he's a few IQ points short. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

You can't edit sounds in BoE, and I doubt you will be able to in BoA. Stats and graphics are easy, though, and custom graphics only slightly harder. You can create just about anything on an item you want. The two catches are the custom graphics, as ADoS pointed out, and the fact that items with scripts attached probably won't transfer either. No, there is no guide to using BoA yet. There is no BoA for a guide to be based on. —Alorael, who is sure some helpful person will make one once BoA is available. And if not, you can always ask here. Also, the manuals for Spiderweb games are usually good. BoE's manual does cover most of what you need to know if you take the time to read it. Arthur C. Clarke said, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." If it's all the same to you, I'd rather have a custom title than Your Postliness. That's just tacky. Postmaster General has a certain elegance to it, but after that I'm going to have to beg Drakey until I get a title. Maybe not one I like, but a title. —Alorael, who thinks that the uncertainty is half the fun anyway. Don't quote him on that when Drakey is back! Common language, common heritage, and the fact that we're unspeakably jealous of British accents. —Alorael, who would really like to know why one would revive a long dead topic that never had much of a point in the first place. Not that the rest of General does, but this one is no special gem. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I prefer Postmaster General, myself. But yes, I suppose I will eventually become Your Postliness (or My Postliness, as the case may be). —Alorael, who is very slowly working on it. And if you want to see it, you'd better discourage Drakey from handing out a custom title as well. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I'm very sorry for your loss, Izzannor. Keep the good memories in mind when you think of your great aunt, not just the end. There's not really anything meaningful I can say beyond that... —Alorael, who would like to deliver a huge warning to Ed for flaming, censor evasion, and gross insensitivity. TM can call himself emotionless, but that first reply was cruel. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
