Maybe the error is at the beginning.

If we assume that CPT is constant then T must be variable. And if I remember correctly there was an experiment showing such an asymetry using kaons and anti-kaons.

On a side note, I thought most hardware wasn't written directly in assembly, rather in HDLs such as Verilog. Is this wrong?
The offset film was generated by a specialised program, ABEL was used for the PLDs and the main card often had a processor which needed to be programmed, and that was done in assembler.

quote:
The cases in which you need to use assembly are few and it is an awful awful language to work with
It's not that awful, either RISC or CISC, but it isn't very useful.

Depends what kind of programming you do. Imbedded programming is still often done in assembler.

For example vending machines are very often programmed in assembler here.

Then, as said, I'd start with more common languages first. For most purposes, C or Java will serve you well, and they are far less trouble than Assembler.
I disagree but I guess it is just personnal experience.

For you question, I can write x86, 68k and ppc assembler.

Are you nuts? The French use a double negative as a matter of policy - je ne X pas is the grammatically correct way of negating, as opposed to the common but incorrect je X pas.
I didn't say anything about the negative and I hope "je X pas" isn't that common. "Litote" is an understatement, for example saying "je n'aime pas l'école" to say that you hate it.

The masculine/feminine words are easy, imho. With feminine words you pretty much just need to put a 'ne' on the end.
You either didn't understand cfgauss' problem or have a very poor grasp of how gender works .

If you love school, you could say 'J'adore le cole', or if you hated it, you could say 'Je le nest cole pas.'

I think. I bet that doesn't make any sense.
The first sentence almost makes sense (It would be "l'école" iirc), the second don't. Even if you are trying to do a "litote".

There is SimpleText in the developper tools for the simpler projects.
SubEthaEdit seems good but I haven't used it a lot.

Also, you can launch emacs or vi (vim) from the terminal.

Alternatively, you could throw a higher die and relaunch if its result isn't in your range or you can't easily put it in it.

ex : 1d9 could be 1d10 with relaunch if 0, 1d12 will be relaunched for 10, 11 and 12, or take a d20, substract 9 to the result if it is in the interval [10;18] and relaunch for 19 and 20.

Something shocked Akhtar. As he was standing in front of the mage he realized he didn't really walked nor run to him, his legs had moved but there was a void of sensation.

It was something he never experienced but somehow he recognized it and he knew :

"I am dead" said Akhtar out loud in shock and disbelief, "I am dead" repeated he, in the sad tone that comes with the knowledge of your own failure.

Then comes surprises, he thought he saw Anees dead in the river, but his four legged friend was not here, and this was strange, a dead was to enter the Fertile Deserts with his most prized possession.

[I]I am not in the Fertile Deserts![I]

As he was thinking, he had sitted down in the grass and didn't notice when the others moved.

He looked ahead and, seeing the scorched landscape he accepted that he was still in the valley of thunder.

He started hearing a voice he had long forgotten, one of the elder of the clan, telling the story of Henki Baa, having lost a bag of seeds due to its leakiness and the wind, he was condamned to put all the seeds back before entering the Fertile Deserts. Knowing it was an impossible task, he decided to attack all travelers who had a sac.

Then he hear his voice from his youth "Me, I don't fear spirits, they aren't able to hold a sword".

And the elder replied not to be too sure about it,

OOC : be continued later too.

OOC : It seems I need to precise it, Akhtar is an undead now. His body floats down the river and his existence is confined in a parallel valley. I will try to post an IC tomorrow.

Akhtar was trying to make a knot to secure the boat on the pontoon when the wall collapsed and fell, head first, in the cold water, his hands still holding the rope, feeling the knot on the boat untiing itself.

Unable to breath, out of air, the feeling of oppression was stronger than ever (and this time, more than justified) he tried to swim to the light above him, in spite of his robe. His finger had just pierced the water's surface when a sun-hiding shadow swat his hand, making him roll a bit, loosing contact with the air.

His eyes were burning but he looked, his tears merging with the flow, at what bumped him. It was drowning, like him and to his worst despair, he saw Anees, vainly waving its legs in the water in an impossible attempt to join him.

Then all movement ceased, and soon he too couldn't move. His eyes recorded that there was no longer bubles coming out of his mouth and nostrils but he both knew and didn't. His mind was moving and so was a body he recognized as his.

He bent on the muddy earth, the water doing a pool under him and coughed all the water that had entered his lungs. His vision was blurry, his mind was dizzy, his body shaking but, gathering his anger and will, he got up and catching sight of Hispar he ran straight to him and screamed in his ears "Where is Anees? Where is my dog? Help me, please, help me. "

One minute had passed.

But now and for five days, under the surface, a corpse in a blue robe which served it as a shrood was drifting with the flow, scraping the river's bed, lifting dust and scaring a few fish. After a few days, the body floated to the surface, naked and puffy, then pushed on the banks as the river bendedand there, was jointed, not by a mighty demon nor a fierce wolf but by a vile creature, its name not even worth mentionning.

They quickly rushed through what was left after the fire, spotting bear traps here and there, carbonated corpse and dead trunks but keeping their eyes on Selger.

I hope Anees don't get ill running. The air is full of dust.

They crossed a few streams then, seeing the width of the next one looked around. It seemed all demons had retreated, from their position at the banks, the paysage was a fine example of desolation and the smell of burned wood and sulfur just added to the sensation of oppression Akhtar was feeling.

"Here! the bridge." said Hispar in a high pitched voice. Akhtar looked at him.

They must not be used to running. Shirr-Uth stumbles more and more

They quickly passed the bridge and still heading to Selger they noticed they were on the wrong side on the river and were creating havoc in the farmland.

No one was speaking, just racing until nearly falling into the river.

"What now?" asked Akhtar. Shirr-Uth was already sitting, and Hispar was catching his breath.

"The voices, there are demons and humans in town. " said Hispar looking at the partially destroyed town.

hein? does it change anything?

Not knowing what to do Akhtar started examinning his surrounding and noticed two small recess, placed almost symetrically on both sides of the river. He went to see what it was and was followed by the others from a distance.

it isn't natural, it is even reinforced with stone. Boats? Maybe the bridges weren't enough to bring back the grains. But I don't know how to use one. "It is simple do not capsize." weird, when did I heard this? I suppose it is true though.

OOC : The boat could be something between a felucca and a gondola.

The people in the shroom field aren't that important. They just give a correct ring.

As for the time, it seems you have almost a week left. The scenario should end when you reach the fort.

Having been quickly distanced by the survivors and seeing the man who followed him a few meters lower, Akhtar decided to wait. The valley was strangely calm, as if the world was standing on a edge. A chill ran through Akhtar spine.

Anees tongue was hanging out and the dog happily lapped in Akhtar's hand when he poured some of the water he had taken in the backpack on the cup he had formed with his hand. After putting the bottle back in the backpack he looked at the figure coming closer.

Having gone on a run with Anees through the wood had brought back good memories to him and he was smiling when the man came to his level.

"You are right, we must not waste our strength by running. I have the feeling that we will need it later. " said Akhtar, " I am Akhtar and in my back is Hispar, mouth of the spirits. "

He quicly continued "I would like to hear more about you while we climb to the temple. You bear the ice swan on your chest but your eyes and heigth clearly shows that you are not one of the hard men of Dyyan. "

Akhtar looked hard at the man for a second then turned his back and started walking slowly to allow his companion to catch his breath if he needed it.

OOC : Going through the woods to avoid demons on the main road, currently on the east side of the road and roughly at 200 meters of the temple as the crow flies.

After roughly a mile, Akhtar heard Hispar say something. he didn't understood what it was but sensed Hispar's foot on his side. He concluded he had been given new orders.

As he was going back, he felt the earth shake a first time then, as he was considering getting up since he kneeled at the first shock, a second tremor, stronger than the first.

He hoped that it wasn't one of the volcano then started running in the direction he had been given. After a few minutes, he passed a man in black armor standing in front of demons and yelled him to follow.

Akhtar didn't took time to see if the man had obeyed. He felt the foot again and took the direction it indicated. The path was going up, he was wondering where he was going when he saw one of the man the patrol brought in the bunker a few hours ago with the first survivor they met.

He quickly introduced himself then they were going again.

IC :
Akhtar was finnaly relieved. He immediately started working on the idea he had during his guard.

After working a long time he looked through a loophole and saw the sky was turning purple, the red moon was standing out over the pale colors like a cyclopean eye watching and mocking him and his simple ideas.

He quickly termined modifying his backpack. It was now ready to transport a wounded. He installed Hispar as softly as he could and tried to move around a little. Everyone in this part of the bunker was sleeping, he finished testing his new backpack then took it off. He started looking for Eferas.

He finally found him, Akhtar would have liked to have more time to explain himself but he kept his message short :

"Hispar said we should not leave the way we came and so pointed to the tunnels but the way you went in should also be practicable, I am heading for Selger as this is where the tunnels would have led us. If we could make a small enough group, it shouldn't be too dangerous. I will wait a bit at the river so that anyone who wants to can come along. "

Having said that he went back to were he left the backpack and readied himself then he went out.

Stupid guards, checking what comes in is important but it is also important to know who is out.

Bah. Rey is eyeing me, better look straight ahead so that he don't ask any question.

Out, at last; let's get going.

OOC : Sorry Alorael, this is not exactly what was planned but it would have not happened before a possibly long time. Akhtar saw the survivor in good shape after they took the potions.

Eferas is not one of the guard. If you consider you met my char, you have been escorted to the others by an npc with recommandation to kill you if you start acting in a way that endangers him or anyone else.

No IC in this post, I am waiting for Alorael to react to an MP and it is marked as unread at the moment.
