It's just that nobody goes there. :P

And a pity too, because I don't use AIM anymore, or at least not in a form that allows me to partake in chatrooms (Jabber and AIM transport server).

There was a bug once that allowed you to skip special areas (like the alarm) by standing next to it, then entering and leaving combat mode. I don't know if it's been fixed by now.

This sentence implies that it was possible before those laws were invented and messed things up. :P

I've been trying for five minutes now to express how ridiculous the above sentence is. I'm afraid I'll just have to let it stand on its own merit.

The best punchline I can come up with is "He's a racist, but at least he's not black."

I do. Besides PHP, it's the only language I know (although I have been picking up Hello-World basics in C++).

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind writing a new game in Java. But I can imagine more fruitful things to do than essentially rewriting a whole program in another language just for kicks. :P

I have to confess I was only at a single table in my entire life. That was The Dark Eye, and must have been around 2000 or earlier. Interestingly, that would place it even before my introduction to Exile III (though not Albion), let alone the internet and online RPs.

But I very much enjoyed it, and would play it regularly if given the opportunity. I also think it would be interesting to try again from the changed perspective of having played text RPs so long...

Possible, yes. Economically feasible, no.

However, as you might have noticed, BoE has recently been released as open source. We may be seeing that ported to a few systems at some point.
