I like the royal plural.

Sh. They'll hear you.

Also, I second the proposal that the local Necromancing Noob Brigade knock it off.

It's a rather neat tool, but I question the concept a bit.

One of the major improvements about BoA scripts (to me) is that I can write out the call I want in a text editor rather than having to navigate and click through about three different menus or dialog windows as in BoE.

In fact, one of my wishes for an improved scenario editor is to somehow do away with the Item and Creature selection menus as well. Going through five lists to find that blasted Goblin or Vahnatai is hell.

These days, I design towns with both corescendata files open in the editor, and if I need something, I use a text search so I know exactly where to look in the menus.

Spiderweb Software made Exile Trilogy and BoE. Spiderweb Software didn't make SubTerra or (by definition) any games by Richard White.

These are the Spiderweb boards. No game produced by Spiderweb has ever been without a forum - aside from consolidating the Geneforge forums into a single one.

A round of duh ensues.

I've used it too, for the same reason. Although recent versions of Firefox are just as fast (and AFAIK can also resume partial downloads, which is one of Opera's strong points).

But Opera did fairly well for downloading files, and I was used to it (besides, being too lazy to switch between browsers, I normally ended up surfing in Opera when I downloaded a lot of files).

Edit:

This is a nonsense poll. There are other (locked) nonsense polls in this forum that can be drawn upon for any data this experiment is meant to produce. Even this one now has 34 votes, which is enough for a good sample.

But guess what! I don't stand up well to pressure, especially not when I end up being stalked in an online game.

So for the sake of shutting you the hell up, Salmon, this is once again open. You win. Congratulations.

Dikiyoba.

Given that hardly anybody else is called by their surname (if they even have one), perhaps they're more of an honorific than a necessity.

The world is rural and not heavily populated, so first names would suffice. Only few people have surnames, and they all appear to be from a noble family. (Only Redmark and Krizsan come to mind right now)

Pff. Its creation? Hardly. They merely renamed it. :P

Also, I would like to remind you that my Piperbot is still backlogged and will require around 70-80 more hours to complete its present run. Only after that point can it return to the RWG forum and get the threads of the past month. (After this point, it will also be returning about once an hour, so further posts will not be a problem).

So if you could avoid forcing Jeff to wipe the board before then, we'd all be happier.

The United States government has a long history of killing in cold blood. Freezing blood, actually.

Seriously, what is it that makes 2001/09/11 so hard for some people to accept? Just the sheer magnitude?

By now I rather favor the idea that he's a conspiracy theorist who's in it for the conspiracy theories.

They're harmless because they don't have a real agenda, and in fact they're as likely to go after the moon landing as the JFK assassination or the holocaust. But you can't convince them of the falsehood of a conspiracy theory because without conspiracy theories the world is dreary and boring. There has to be something big that we're not being told about.

I know this from *cough* personal experience. (Well, these days I'm still cynical, and I sometimes speculate on whether 9/11 was a set-up, but I'm more curious about what is really true than I want the truth to be cool or earth-shattering. :P )

Yup. In fact I was tempted to put just Seamonkey in the option, but then realized that "Mozilla Suite" was the wider term.

Blame my Mac ignorance. I've never seen Adium referred to as anything but a Jabber client, so I didn't know it was multi-protocol, much less a Gaim clone. Just strike it from that list and choose Gaim...

Whoops. I assumed that native Windows in XP counted as WinZip - the two are almost indistinguishable on my computer, although I eventually shut off the native folder thing because it stuffs my Temp folder full of temporarily uncompressed files.

Also, is MWP short for Media Windows Player or is there another player?
