Therefore, a better about swearing is not to avoid it altogether, but to avoid every third sentence in your speech being a swearword. This does not just apply to swearing; "like" and "totally" should be treated the same way. Of course, swearing should be avoided altogether when you are speaking to someone who may be offended by it. This is not about censorship (or this "political correctness" crap - I can say crap, right?), either; it is simply about being polite to other people so they like you more. Geez, I can get excited sometimes. When you link or include ("hotlink") an image all that is stored on the server is what you type into the text area. As an example, we'll take the Google logo: `[img]http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif[/img]`When you view a page, the server converts this and sends you the following: `<img src="http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif" />`Your browser will then know that at this point in the page, it should download and display the image, like so: Irony Central does not even have an idea whether the image actually exists. It never lands on their server. And saving this for last: When you include an image, you're taking up less space, since the code for the hotlink is shorter than that for the link: Of course, this is a difference of a few letters, so it really is completely pointless. We experimented a bit and were able to accomplish a few cool things by accident, but I think we never managed to actually understand how it all worked together. 16th century alchemy, sorta. Also, Laz: Did Lighting work in Mac too?
