So, while checking out the Lyceum and its host change (when did this happen anyway?), I noticed that four months ago some new guy tried to get a new scenario beta tested before mysteriously disappearing. Any word? Any contact information? I'd like to see what he made.

Here's the topic.

Wow, I didn't know that the bonuses multiply damage deflected on necklaces.

Yay, thanks for all the help Salmon.

Of course I'll be entering Kill Them Dead to add some variety but, if I keep with it, I'll have another scenario ready by then too.

Isn't it easier to accept the larger atrocities once we become used to the smaller ones? I regularly find trash in the ocean when out fishing. Mostly fishing gear that has been abandoned, broken, or lost, but also pop bottles and plastic bags.
I'm tired of the lack of respect many people have for their environments. At high school, kids throw their old work on the ground, ignoring the fact that someone is going to have to pick up for them later. They toss their trash on the ground outside after eating lunch, it's embarrassing and infuriating. It seems like I'm always picking up after someone else.

The missile has hit the satellite. We'll know if it did its intended job later.

Maybe you all could spend the time finding something better to do than bicker at each other on an online game forum.

EDIT: While on the topic of outerspace, there was a lunar eclipse here tonight. I'm not sure what that means for other regions, but it's the first one I've ever seen.

It's easier to kill someone with a gun than a knife. Very personal. Takes mental preperation and all that. A lot of "casual" killers would be disillusioned if they had to stab someone to death, leading to a fall in murders. If only slightly, though still worth it. Sure, an inverse relation between shootings and stabbings forms, but there are would-be-killers who don't go to stabbings.
If you don't have the nerve to bleed something to death with a knife, chances are you aren't going to feel any better about doing it with a gun. Also, I think taking a life would take more "mental preparation" than choosing the method.

I thought, in the case of livestock and serviles, Shapers make base creations and give them the ability to breed so that essence is not wasted.

Some special abilities like fire touch and ice touch are not listed. Also, I'm a little confused about the 'free points based on levels.'

ER, I don't like that. I mean, mandatory military service? That's the only way to give back to your country? I like Obama's idea better, making kids do charity work for the Peace Corps, Elderly Death Houses, et cetera. That's something I could get behind more than mandatory military service.
My school has community service requirements in order to graduate. It's not like there are a ton of problems you can just go outside and "fix" when you feel like it. You have to find opportunities and hope to hell that you'll actually do something useful for the hours you're earning. There isn't as much "save the world" to it as most would like.

I never said that military service was the only way to serve your country. My idea is based primarily on positively changing the mentality of this country's citizens.

There's a reason you get a free resistance potion early on. It's good for either the Lava Maze or the fight against Snootfairy.

Unfortunately, we're never going to be able to prevent people from harming others. I don't know how many of us are really that qualified to talk about gun control. I live in a relatively peaceful suburban region and go to a private school, so I am clueless about the dangers of guns and city life. From what I understand (which is little), the laws here seem to do a good enough job of keeping guns out of my school. That's not to say that a determined individual couldn't carry a gun into my school and start shooting up the place, but kids aren't carrying guns around in their pockets and so there are no accidents waiting to happen.
Unfortunately, nothing we can do will ensure every law-abiding citizen a happy and long life.

I'm all for stricter social control. My opinion: mandatory military service. Teach kids to respect their country, their fellows, their bodies, and the power they're each capable of.

Actually, I'm not poking fun at anyone. Imagine making up scenario plots in your head for years before finally learning how to script. Now imagine never getting any 'good' ideas ever again. After a good year of knowing how to script but not producing anything capable of being released, I got fed up and just churned out a crappy little scenario that was based on nothing but a funny picture I drew in my head and the idea for Snootfairy.

Last time I checked, Exile doesn't have varying degrees of difficulty. Since this is the unregistered version and you don't have access to Avatar, your best bet is blessing each of your characters 3 times (maybe it was five, it's been a while) and then hasting them. Curse enemies three times with 'curse all' and slow them with 'slow all.' This will turn even a level 1 character into an unstoppable juggernaut, and will allow you to wipe out Mortrax, Fort Draco, Formello, and any other place you wish.

EDIT:
Actually, if you feel like cheating, you can give yourself a ton of gold through the editor, and buy some of the best non-unique equipment in the game from the random shop. I don't remember the special button that causes the man to change his inventory, but he'll eventually sell things like Blessed Greatswords, Blessed Platemail, etc.

Which is the reason I've never played it. The closest I've come to playing one of the 'horrors' was Undead Valley, in which I only played the first town. If you have to tool around with scripts to play a scenario, it's never worth it.

Hmm, new suggestion. Though Jeff has stated he isn't going to fix any of BoA's problems any time soon, do you think he'd be willing to sponsor the next BoA design contest? I'm not talking about judging or offering prizes, but giving the contest some ad space on the home page.
