FD: I'll take that scale mail, the small wooden shield, those expensive looking assassin daggers, that shortbow and some arrows, a large cloak, and that helmet thing. O'rien: That'll be uh... 751 gold. FD: That's all. FD leaves and heads back to the inn. "Time for me to go back to my adventuring ways," FD thought. FD then checked the inn for jobs. Jobs list: -------------------------------------------------- Wanted - Bandits in the area. Have hit several caravans of supplies and are hiding in the local hills. Talk to Valor for detains and reward. Worgs terrorizing local farms. Need strong adventurers to deal with them. -Silvar City Counsil Young Mage seeking help to take out some bothersome goblins and a pesky mage in a nearby tower. OOC: Since FB has already ruined the new post, I'll try to make another. FB, just go away. Annoying little kids like just ruin message boards. You add nothing to this RP besides multiple posts and I'm sick of you wasting mine and others time. Try to make your own RP. Your just trying to mess up the RP in your own fit of rage. STOP. Firedrake rolls and dispatches several skeletons, reducing them to splinters. A zombie bites at him, but Firedrake destroys it with a well placed strike. FD: Why do you follow Ilofehk's orders? Ren'tharl: I have no choice. It's the only way I'll become normal again. He told me he'll make me normal again after he's gained power. FD: How does he plan to do that? How? Tell me! Do you think he'll actually help you? He's just using you. Ren'tharl: ... Ren'tharl sends several bolts of ice at Firedrake. His undead friends are gone, wasted by Firedrake. Firedrake ducks under the ice bolts and charges at Ren'tharl. The lich dodges and counters with a Fireball. The Fireball misses, and the wall catches on fire. Firedrake: Look how he used the General. He'll use you too. And when he's done with you, he'll kill you, just like the General. Ren'tharl: It's not true... It's not... Ren'tharl's concentration broken, Firedrake knocks him to the ground with a well placed strike of his sword. Firedrake: Give it up. Just stop. You don't have to do this. We can help you, somehow. Ilofekh is already gone, he's left you here to die. Do you really want to continue to fight? Ren'tharl: It's too late for me. I know he can't help me. Nobody can... I've been avoiding the truth. But, if I can defeat you, I can slip away and escape, and plan my next move. And with that the Lich casts a kill spell, Firedrake dodges it and thrusts his sword into Ren'tharl making the final blow... Ren'tharl: Oh...well. It's.. bete..r than remaining unde...ad. Ren'tharl crumbles up into dust. The fire is roaring. Firedrake flees the building. He notices that the boats are leaving. Firedrake seeing WM fighting and the dead official, FD wonders why the fleet is leaving. Telepathy! Ilofekh must have sent the orders himself. Firedrake: Let's stick together. It's not a great idea to split up. Besides, I plan walking right in through the front door. Something is wrong, notice how there was a lack of guards as we entered? Maestro: If you say so. Firedrake and co. run up the stairs and enter the capital building. Searching carefully, they find no trace of Lewis or his men. While on the second floor, voices are heard. (Familiar voice): So, Lewis has been killed? Army Official: Yes, our troops managed to hunt him and his renegades down. It was fairly simple, especially after you framed him. (Familiar voice): Is the army ready to move? We're abandoning this continent and heading south to deal with some "old friends." Army Official: You mean... (Familiar voice): Yes. Our friends at the New Silvar Inn. Firedrake: What? Wait a sec... I know who that is! Firedrake runs up to the doors. ef: FD wait! Who... And then pushes the door open. "Lord" Ilofekh stands up and turns towards the door, staring at Firedrake from across the massive war-planning table. Official: Who are you? Lord Ilofekh... Ilofekh: Get to the boats and move the troops. GO! NOW! Official: Y-Yes si-r. (Official escapes through back door. Firedrake: So it's been you the whole time. So your the one who really ordered the burning of my home town... Ilofekh: Yes. It was me. And shortly, this world will be mine! Starting with New Silvar, I will conquer this world! Your too late to stop me. ef: Ilofekh! How could you do this? Ilofekh: I've been planning this for a long time. I used you and the NSI to deal with my enemies. Your rival drug ring and Lewis. Good job. Wise Man: You'll pay. Where are you going to run? We've got you trapped. Ilofekh: Ren'tharl! Get over here. (Zombie Ren'tharl comes out) Firedrake: What did you do to him? Ilofekh: I needed a strong mage to help me re-animate the dead. I killed him and he became a lich. He's completely under my control. Ilofekh, deal with these fools. Ilofekh runs through the back door sealing it with a Barrier. Ren'tharl: Come... my army... of... the dead. You four will beat me. Firedrake: What? Ren'tharl: My job is to slow you down so Ilofekh can get far enough ahead of you. The NSI is doomed... Firedrake: Maestro, Wiseman, take ef and get going. Give my army orders to get on the boats docked close to here and go south. He'll probably land in the north, and head through the forests, and attack the NSI from the north. Tell my forces to head slightly to the west from where he lands and go through the plains. My army will get there first. Tell the Wyrm riders to stay behind. I'll deal with these guys. Go! Quickly! Don't worry about me. WM, Maestro, and ef leave, FD remains to fight. FD: I'll take you. Guess I just messed up Ilofekh's plan, eh Ren'tharl? Ren'tharl: DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEE! OOC: How about not FB, I'm just gonna ignore your post. How could you possibly know the Vahnatai tongue? You came from the surface a short while ago, remember? An army of your crappy monsters isn't very intimidating. And who is trying to take over what? The only people here are the Vahnatai. This is during the First Expedition to Exile. Firedrake and his stealth army aproach the capital around nightfall. Firedrake: (whispering) My stealth army is ready to strike, and take out most of the guards. I've heard rumors that Lewis has been branded an outlaw by the Empire, and that someone else is in power now. Tonite, I want to find out if Lewis is still alive, and if he is here. Meanwhile, in the ruins of Coronis. Firedrake, Wiseman, and Maestro are at camp. Maestro: So, what's our next move. Firedrake: That depends. We're now cut off, left behind, with no reinforcements to bail us out, and we're trapped somewhere between our enemy. Luckily, I've planned on this so "reinforcements will be here soon. Maestro: What do you mean reinforcements? You just said... Firedrake: I meant from the inn. No, these reinforcements are differant. Not only will we have an army assisting us in the east, the Wyrm riders are around here somewhere, and I've pulled a few strings and my "associates" have managed to pull together two armies. Maestro: Two? How big? Firedrake: One is quite large and is already ahead of us, hiding in the wilderness, ready to strike, the other... And with that, roughly 200 cloaked figures appeared out of the shadows of the night. Firedrake: .. is a highly trained army of assasins, thiefs, and special ops soldiers. Tommorow morning, I'm charging the capital in search of Lewis. Then, I'll get my revenge and stop Lewis's madness. Plus, I have something to look into. OOC: Well, now the stories kinda screwed up. Were did the other enemies appear from. The few that were in the barrier wouldn't be able to take the city. And now that everyone is at TNSI, does that include our side's soldiers too? Firedrake, Wiseman, and Maestro leave the town hall to notice that everyone is gone. Firedrake: This is bad. OOC: "-Oh, all of his valuable equipment is in the Drake Lord's trove." No. You have no valuable equipment if you join. No special sword, no insane spells, no "valuable equipment." If you want to join, your gonna be a normal character, with no super spells, and not awesome God equipment. Understand? These are the only 'conditions' I agree to. Firedrake rushed at the Drake Lord striking again an again, causing the Drake Lord to get angry. The Drake Lord breathes fire and tries to hit Firedrake, but it misses. Firedrake casts an Ice Bolt spell, but it fails, miserably. In response, the Drake Lord blasts him across the room with an Fire column. Firedrake: Ow. Again... OOC: My character is more of the fighter type. He has skills with the blade, knowledge of spells (mostly Fire-type) and they fail often due to lack of experiance with spells, and he'll eventually learn some special blades skills, or more powerful magic. Note - FB, I'm not going to make my character invincible. Note how I said eventually. As in over a long time. OOC: My character isn't too trusting of Sullust right now, after the magical line incident and the slaughter of the enemy troop once he gets word of it. Firedrake patroled the city wall, helping repair the damage, trying to boost the troop's morale, and helping with the wounded. So far the death count for his side was 102 dead, 50 injured. That was nothing compared to the other side's losses. At least 400 dead, with hundreds more injured. He had gotten word from several people that Sullust had lost it and slaughtered many of the enemy troops. After the incident with the line, Firedrake had lost just about all of his trust in Sullust. He finished his patrol and was heading back down to the town center, when suddenly, several flying wyrms came into view. Firedrake half-smiled as it was the messangers bringing back word from the east. They approached the wall, and dismounted. Messanger: Sir, I bring word from the east. OOC: Firedrake is more of a fighter type character who knows some lesser spells (mostly fire). He's training to become a Bladesmaster (and pick up some spells along the way to augment his weapon skills.) Firedrake: I'll deal with these. Focusing some magical energy into his blade, he charges at one of the bear creatures. The creature looks up and braces for the attack. Firedrake swings at the bear creature, hitting it with a Flame Swing, causing the bear to hurt. The bear in return roars and jumps at Firedrake. Firedrake blocks with his shield but notices he left his shield somewhere in the fort. The bear jumps into him, pinning Firedrake to the ground, unable to fight back. The other bear moves in to attack too. OOC: I just joined this RP, and I have no clue what is going on. Can anyone fill me in? Firedrake decided to flee the fort, due the fact he has no clue who is attacking who and who he should side with. He left the room he was in, and turned down the corridor, running. After several more corridors, he sees the main entrance. Suddenly, a Vahnatai mage casted a spell, and knocked Firedrake into the wall. Firedrake: Oh yeah? Take this! Firedrake countered with a fire spell, but it turned into a strange light, hit the mage, did nothing, and then dissappeared. The mage in return casted a Paralysis spell, but instead summons a few Skeletons, which turn on the mage. The mage attacks back with another spell, vaporizing the skeletons.
