Firedrake was beginning to get overwhelmed by undead. Suddenly, Jade, Eferas, and Delgar came running into the room. Hearing the chaos in the streets, Lavius the Steadfast grabbed his flail and shield and ran in the direction of the battle forming on the edge of the town. Noticing the battle had begin, several warriors, guards and mages battling a group of mixed zombies and skeletons. Lavius let out a war cry and charged at the undead, causing fear amoung them and a few in the back turn to run (He's a cleric), and then began to hack through the undead. OOC: Someone play my character for me tommorow. OOC: Alright then, I'll make a character now. The hooded cleric entered the inn. Learning of the undead, he came to the town of Ika to fight the evil. "Bartender, I'll take a room." He paid the gold. His name was Lavius the Steadfast. Name: Lavius the Steadfast Age: Mid 20s Eyes: Blue Hair: Brown Class: Cleric History: Born into a religious family, Lavius grew up as a cleric in training. He eventually got on his own feet and began to adventure, taking a vow to crush the undead. He belongs to the Argus Sect of the St. Qucbert Church in Northern Exile (he was born on the surface, but is frequently in Exile to fight the undead). OOC: Got bored so I decided to start up a new zombie attack RP. The rules: 1) No killing off other people's characters. 2) No drastically altering the plot. (FB, I'm talking to you) 3) No spamming. OOC: I took it as you killing off Shadow Wolf, at least that was how it sounded the way you typed it. So I guess that that was my mistake, and I'm sorry. And Firedrake has no powerful spells left, so I guess that balances kinda. OOC: I think that was rather unfair. You practically just shifted the whole battle to the undead's advantage, and tried to kill off SW. That's not fair. At all. Time to counter this... I'm gonna pull a FB, kind...  Firedrake stood face to face with himself. Knowing that fighting wouldn't solve anything, the two nod, and the dark half reunites with the light half of Firedrake. He was now at his full power. Concentrating, he quickly began to cast a powerful holy spell. He casted Ritual of Holyness, pulling nearby undead into oblivion and stunning the souls that had left their bodies. Firedrake swings his assassin daggers at the skeletons skillfully and reduces a few of them to dust. A quickghast gets behind FD, and attempts to strike with it's deadly claws. He decapitates the quickghast with a swift slice. Firedrake turns to notice SW in battle with the lich. He concentrates, ignoring the weak attacks of the lesser undead. He begins to cast a spell. A wall of flame begins to form in front of him, starting as a small wall of embers, and growing to a raging fire. He sends the wall towards the undead, burning many of them. The undead then turn to concentrate on the enraged assassin. The diversion had been caused. "Kel-Aziz, Molek, go after the lich, I'll deal with these weaklings," shouted Firedrake. He dug in, and with the other Rebel troops, he continued the battle against the undead. The group kickly advances up through the tower into the room of the statues. SW and FD quickly begin to disarm the traps. It takes them little time. "Now, to get that door open," Firedrake steps on one platform, SW hops up onto another. They pull a lever on each platform at the same time and the door opens. On the other side of the door mist pours out. Firedrake hops down, senseing the evil from within the other room. Several Liches appear in the room. OOC: After Fluffy either dies or is saved, our group will head upstairs, back to the room of the statues where Firedrake, Shadow Wolf, and possibly Namothil will disarm the traps and attempt to open the large door, allowing the rebels to continue. Firedrake walks across the floor carefully, looking for traps. As he passes a pair of statues the eyes begin to glow red. Firedrake draws his sword, ready for the statues to attack. Instead, a trap door opens below him and he begins to fall down a chute. Unable to catch the sides before falling in, Firedrake falls down the chute, falling for what seems like forever. The bottom of the chute begins to show light, and Firedrake stabs his long sword into the metal of the chute, attempting to stop himself. He stops just before hitting the end. He jumps down. "Damn, I must be back on the floor we began on. Oh well, I'll just get right back up there and..." he thinks to himself, but he then hears the sound of battle. Roars of some beast fighting another beast and the clashing of armor. Firedrake heads in the direction of the fighting to see if he's needed. OOC: I guess I want to get into the fight against Fluffy. Then I'll have Firedrake go back upstairs with the entire group, until he gets to the statue room where a huge door on the other side blocks any progress. OOC: LOL, that pic of the liches is from Eye of the Beholder 3. Omlette, I'm on the third floor, and there is nothing human near me. Don't get angry at me without cause. IC: Firedrake looked across the room. On the far end was the exit. In between, a river of lava. In fact, almost the entire length of the room was nothing but lava. FD looked at the other side, looking for a switch, noticing several platforms above the river and on the sides of the room. He jumped up onto a lower platform and began to move from platform to platform. Around the middle, Firedrake stopped, noticing a large machine generating the lava. "So, that's the source of the lava. I'll take that out so the heavier and less agile rebels can cross," Firedrake said to himself. At that very second, several imps teleported in, each standing on a platform nearby. Firedrake did several flips and jumps, moving around avoiding the fireballs tossed at him. He landed next to an imp, hitting it with several well-placed strokes of the sword. It disintigrated, and Firedrake moved on. He then was hit by a fireball, knocking off balance and almost of the platform as he took twice the amount of normal damage from the fireball. Two of the imps flew over to the platform in a effort to ensure that FD would not recover. However, when they got there, he was gone. They looked at each other confused, and then Firedrake pulled himself up from below the platform and beheaded the two. The remaining two decided that they'd rather run, and teleported out. Firedrake then manuevered around the platforms, reaching the machine. He took his sword and drove it into the machine, causing it to begin to spark and malfunction, getting away from the machine, FD watches it explode. Firedrake advanced to the next room. This room was darker, and much damper, and there were many different types of statues in this room. Firedrake moved carefully ahead, disarming traps as he went. OOC: Firedrake will move ahead, disarming traps and disabling tougher enemies to help the rebels advance on the upper levels, they'll probably find him on the fourth or fifth level, unable to move a door without help... Firedrake moved cautiously ahead, carefully finding and disarming traps he can find. (Don't want to get hit by another Lightning spell. OOC: I'm not being uber Zephyr. A few peasants might have been able to beat ratton. He commands... rats. Being a heavily armed warrior/assasin, FD could just stomp the rats. And if they were big rats he just chop his way through them. I'm just getting impatient. I guess I'll chill though. OOC: Let's just finish this. Rats are a stupid enemy even when led by a more inteligent creature, nomatter the size of the rat. "YOU'LL NEVER BEAT ME MWAHAHHAHAHAHA," the ratton laughed. Firedrake fights his way through the slightly annoying rats, and procedes to beat down the ratton. The ratton now almost unconcious retreats into the darkness with the rats. "What a fool, rats vs. highly trained professionals..." OOC: While the other group has some fun COMPLETELY IGNORING THE HEROES IN THE TUNNELS, the heroes reach the illusionary wall. After a completely uneventful trek through the tunnels, the group ended up almost at the illusionary wall. OOC: No, but it'll make the plot more interesting when we emerge from the tunnel into the tower... go ahead and try an ambush. Now, to continue onward. "Time to finish this up," Firedrake thought to himself. Noticing the hydras were dead, and the spider now disabled, he began to chant, waiting for the right moment to strike. His blade began to glow, now on fire, he then ran foward and jumped at the spider. He swung, cleaving the spider almost in two, causing it to die. "I do not see Arianne or Theobold as a threat to us, or they would have taken the advantage right here to try and kill some of us," Firedrake said as he turned to continue up the tunnel. "We should just continue on before someone finds out that there is a tunnel here." Arcadia spoke up, "I want to know what happend to the guards I sent here ahead of time..." Firedrake then continued up the tunnel. Meanwhile, a creature waited in the dark, watching the foolish humans stand around, completely oblivious to the fact that they were to be dead shortly. The huge, deadly spider waited for the chance to strike. While the party was distracted by a small spider, the spider charged at one of the mortals, preparing to strike with deadly force.
