Well, A4 has changed a lot over the previous Avernums.I personally liked the change very much and think its a lot better than previous series.Also think(hope)A5 will be much improved and better than A4 and would like Spiderweb games to improve even more.I am interested what is others opinion of this. In G3 there is a lot of equipment that gives bonus to you and to your creations.I have it a lot but it seams it doesen't work.I know there was a topic which said it doesen't work on creations but it doesen't work on me either. Example:-1 strenght +1 dexterity +1 to dexterity to your creations Neither 1 strenght is decreaset, neither dexterity is increased for me nor for my creations. I play as guardian and it really bothers me that I can't encrease my skill or my creations.I progress trought game very slow without equipment When I played G3 first time it worked fine but now it doesen't. I'm using windows XP Professional and my computer has everything it needs to play that is in game description. Some help please Or there is new version that solves that(I'm not familliar with it) Or there is an updated version that solves that -------------------- You must show me respect becouse...never mind why but do respect me! Old Avernum and its style died.But it was reborn from the ashes and became something better and bigger in form of A4. Games shouldn't be judget by their graphick.If its not good enough or if you arren't used to it, it should be judget by how much is it fun to play and nothing else.If the game is fun to play you won't mind the graphicks and other minor stuff. Isn't it fun to explore A4 many dungeons and abandoned forts?Graphick is a minor thing compared to it.  -------------------- If you listen to LakiRA@ all will go well! I dont see the big differnce betwen humans and non-humans, I mean I played with 2 humans, 1 slith, and 1 nephilim.My human and slith warior were evenly matched and I think the human was even a little stronger. I've never played this before, I will try best I can. Name:"Raider"Levitt Quickshank Occupation:Bandit&Thief Description:Levitt is a strong, tough human about 28 years old.His whole life he robbed people and hide from soldiers.He is about 6'2 tall and weights 170 pounds.He is very skilled with pole weapons and wields a big stell spear which he uses to threten and kill merchants and travellers.He is the leader of bandits which consistes of 3 fighters and 2 archers. Background:Levitt was born in some small village at far west of empire.His parents died when he was only 9 years old.Being whitouth money and home he turned to only thing that was left to him.He started stealing money and food from people he was seen.He ran away rather then going to prison.He started robbing caravans which weren't having any weapons or soldiers.He quickly got some other poor people to join him.Eventually the empire sent soldiers to stop him but killed almoust all the bandits but he with couple more ran away. Levitt moved to Somala where he intercept people and rob them.He is living in a well hidden cave which has many exits so he can wathc many different roads.He thinks aesians as lesser beings than humans and kills them even if they are very poor and has no use of it.He has many helpers in nearby villages which share his hatered for aesians and even some plunder.He sometimes even attacks military patrols which get to close to his hiddeout and people which protect aesians. I've also played Avernum 4 for cuite a bit.I also played Geneforge series and A1-3.My opinion is that A4 has much improved compared to other Avernums.There are a lot things that I liked and few that didn't. Likes: 1)The thing that I liked the most is that it uses Geneforge engine(first Spiderweb game whic I played is A4 followed by G1-4 and then A1-3),I got so used to it that I had trouble to adapt to Avernum engine. 2)I also got used to Geneforge movement (one click where I want to go)that I liked it very much. 3)I to liked new graphicks ,battle animations,and the looks of the game thats different from previous Avernums. 4)I very much liked that if you want to talk to somebody or open a box you just click on it,you dont have to use talk icon or right mouse button to do that(which annoyed me)or if you want to pick up something from the ground you open inventory and drag it where you want. 5)quote: _________________________________________________ originaly writen by Ming: Job Board: Very cool idea. Arent Exile graphick like pre-historical?I tried to play Exile but couldnt stand the graphick and the gameplay so I quited quite early in the game. Avernum has much improved and I quite liked it ,but I always prefered Geneforge graphick, really liked it when they used it in A4. From what I have heard and sean think A5 will significaly improve. I downloaded the editor and placed it like it said but it crashed the game(i couldnt speak with anyone read anything...).I then replaced it with copied script file.Then I tried again to download the editor and copy it but it CRASHED THE GAME AGAIN.
