Yeaaaaah. The game's plot left me with a rather strong sense of "Wow, Anakin. You're really a bastard, you know that?" [ Thursday, May 12, 2005 07:32: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I've got semi-reliable information saying that Jar-Jar Binks shows up for a whopping 3 minutes in this movie. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I think the Episode III game is only on X-Box. While I wouldn't have gone out and bought it, I appreciate that one of my friends let me play his copy for free. :P Again, for all the cleaving that goes on in the game, there HAS to be some good action in the movie. Yeah, but it's more to prohibit talk about, like... how to do, or advocating doing illegal things. In any case, 99.9% of ISPs will cooperate with an agency seeking to file suit against someone using their services rather than take a lawsuit for a customer. It's just good business sense. Ugh, Battlefield Earth was poisonously bad. I've played the Star Wars Episode III video game. It tries to be spoiler-free while still spoiling pretty much everything of note. I can say I'll go see the movie for the fighting and the effects. There's lots of cleaving to be had, at least. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

quote:What? The only type of copy protection found to be more than minimally successful is for your game to have a popular online play feature which requires a valid CD-key or a registered account. Well, okay, I suppose the ridiculous versions of Safedisc that completely prevented protected CDs from reading in some CD burners frustrated SOME people... except that the main group of people who were frustrated were legitimate consumers who couldn't even play the games in question. Practically all of those games were, in fact, cracked nonetheless. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

"Anonymous" means that they just donate to the sperm bank, not knowing whether their sperm will ever be used or who it will be used by, not that they don't keep records and information on the donors. It's as opposed to "directed" sperm donation, where you specifically ask someone to donate the sperm that are to be implanted in you. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Hm. Well, your longsword, shortsword, and dagger shouldn't be two-handed. :P Also, your shortsword and dagger don't have any it_weight set. Your other weights are odd, too, with your spear weighing 2.5 pounds, your longsword weighing 5.0, and your greatsword weighing 10.0. "Normal" spears weigh 10.0 (slith spears are 15.0), "normal" longswords weigh 12.0, and "normal" greatswords weigh 20.0. (I suppose that any reasonable weight would work, though.) I'd prefer it if you toned down the weapons. My items guide is pretty good for judging where your stuff fits in. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Y'know, what the hell. I'll seriously test it this time, too. imbanfsf@yahoo.com EDIT: My main complaint about the scenario, at least from Testing Version 8, is that there are a lot of items that completely wreck the balance curves, or have stats that make no sense. For instance, the Hidden City Short Sword is two-handed, when all other shortswords in Blades of Avernum are one-handed. Some of your other items have nonsensical-seeming abilities, weights, and gold values, as well. Also, there are several weapons in your scenario which are way off of the proper curve, at least as shown by my Item Guide. For example, the Baltimore Imperial, from Emerald Mountain, is the strongest one-handed melee weapon as measured by my scale (damage dealt with 25 levels of weapon skill) unless Undead Valley is taken into account. In Undead Valley, there exist weapons like "Vahnatai Knife" which deal massively more damage than the strongest other weapons around. The Vahnatai Knife deals an average of 208 damage per hit by my scale, while the aforementioned Baltimore Imperial only deals 120. In fact, the Vahnatai Knife deals more damage than Maximilian, the most powerful weapon in Blades of Avernum outside of Undead Valley, which averages 203.5 damage per hit on my scale. In short, it would be appreciated if you would tone down the damage dealt by some of the weapons in your scenario. Weapons that do a base damage of 1-15 per level of weapon skill break the game - heck, Maximilian, which does only 1-10 per level of weapon skill, is often accused of breaking the game. No, spy.there. It's not compatible with Mac, but you can build the necessary .cmg file yourself. EDIT: Having played the original testing version, I can tell you that it was much like the current one, only a lot more barren. EDIT 2: I'm not adding UV to my BoA lists until it's actually released... even though it sort of is actually released... yeah. Out of the weapons I'll likely be carrying into Canopy, Aran, two of the four are TM weapons. One, the Blessed Axe, is just sitting on my priest, who sucks at melee anyway. Really, TM doesn't have any unbalanced weapons outside of Canopy. Yet. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
