Where does one upgrade Alwan's Attack? in Geneforge Series | |

Upgade Alwan at Scmitio?'s smithy in the Dhonal's Keep area. Upgrade again in Breeding Caverns on Gull Isle. Whoops. Almost forgot. Acid touch is from that crazy, lunatic Shaper in Caverns, upgrade to Shaped blade from iron blade at Keep. If you are playing a Guardian, I advise that you use the Acid Blade yourself, it complements Alwan's attack nicely. You get it by turning in the Golem Notes to the purity officer, also in the inner Keep. Whoa, you mean Mooralis will be in Khor's Deeps? I nailed Hoge in the Inn, but I never saw head or toe of Mooralis until Icy End. Slightly off topic, but... I DO object to people taking His or His Father's name in vain, but only in an obvious reference to Christianity. And my signature is quite true, I AM the God of Mac OS X. But, the word "God" does not apply just to Christianity. And I do not use it in vain as a reference to Christianity. back to topic: Drakons are useful only at the end of the game. And since the only Drakon canisters are on the Isle of Spears, yeah, they really aren't very useful. And, out of curiosity and my Shaper's lust for power, has anyone learned of a cheat where you can create canisters? -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Possibly a script attached to the cheat. I do not usually make my own scripts/cheats, nor usually use them. But, hey, it's free money that these pylons are dropping, right? I don't think it's really a big deal. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. You are quite correct about the ur-Drakon, Mr. Sauerkraut. And I do not wish to sound pushy, but could you please not take His or His Father's name in vain? -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. I find that several cryodrayks are quite effective, with possible a few ur-glaahks or battle betas. And my Guardian seems to do quite well in there, with 300+ damage/hit. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Needles? Dare I ask? Anyway, canisters in G1 are unavoidable, in G2 I think they're optional, and G3 they are certainly optional. G4, depends who you're with and what ending you want. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Windows crash all the time. I finally swapped over to Mac OS X when my Windows gave me the Blue Screen of Death. Now I have an iBook G3 with iMovie, iPhoto, and iTunes. I think the Geneforge series actually runs better on a Mac. The color is much improved. Avernum never looked better, either. Side Note: If anyone would like to know the details and subleties of Mac OS X, please e-mail me. And I think Jeff uses Mac because programming is easier. No offense meant to the programmers of Windows. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. I would suggest, as a humble, canister-driven Shaper, that you advance your blessing magic or obtain some speed spores in Spharon's Lands. I did not fare well my first time around. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. You haven't been to the crypt in G1? Oh, I remember that. Me, the little Shaper, with his fyora, drayk, and glaahk, bravely walking into the unknown. I turned a corner, and collapsed into a little pool of blood on the floor. You want advice? Build an army of either battle betas or cryodrayks and then train for a month or two before even THINKING about going in there. And as for what's in there... *MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA* -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. While the new fyoras in G4 are hideous, I prefer the old ones. At any rate, they are cheap, reliable, and excellent for cannon fodder. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Yeah, Star Trek's always interesting. There are so few trekkies nowadays... How about "imyourmaster"? changes all creations in the area to your control. Or "mylifeisover"? Fills the area to the last inch with all manner of enemy shapers and drakons. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. I read a long time ago that someone here tried to mix G3 graphics with G1 storyline/background. Did that go through? And would the new game just fall apart? I am going to buy an iBook G3, but I am unsure about the software I have now. When I use Migration Assistant to take all of my stuff and put it on the new computer, will G3 revert to its demo format? And, if so, what can I do? Oh, and for you PC people, Migration Assistant is an application which takes everything you have that belongs only to you on your computer, and copies it over to the new computer. So, all your funny little video clips, documents, pix, etc. I'm also worried about Geneforge 3 in the matter of how it will react to the new computer. Anyone with iBook G3s, please reply! -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Sorry to backtrack, but someone mentioned G5? That would be awesome! And if Mr. Vogel could update a few of the older games to OS X, that would be great. Is the release date for Geneforge 4 still the same? I hope that the Geneforge series never changes drastically. I love the medieval setting plus magic plus the thing with the "scrolls." I usually play as a Shaper, so I can use a little magic and a few living tools. I find that if you get mechanics to 14-15 and stockpile a few LTs, you should be fine throughout the game. I don't play as a Guardian usually, so I don't know about that. The Agent should use lots of Unlock and a few living tools where nessesary. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com. Well, this thread could also be kind of an idea pool, if Mr. Vogel or any of the admin people decide to look in here. I also think that most of the people who have left posts in here know that Spidweb probably won't go out of their way to use an idea. -------------------- You Shall Die Laughing: http://www.worfthecat.ermarian.net/converted The Roost: www.roost01.proboards104.com.
