ew. Geneforge online would be a bad idea all together. But if he did work with a major company to make an action rpg out of it that would be cool. heheh it would probably be like Overlord :P .

oh yeah i am so friggin excited. One of my only wonders is if where everything will take place. Are we going to revisit any of the same places from the other 4? And one of my only hopes are of course added creations. Thats the best part of the game aside from the story line.

Either which way, I hope the Sholai at least have at least a small role in the events. There might be a continent full of them...

Do you think that your creations should be able to carry stuff? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

I agree with elastikon. NO need for it. The first three it could have helped. Doing it for the next one will just make it annoying, too much micro management. What more I'd prefer if certain creations (such as the thaud and battle alphas) could use weapons and items and such

Naming Trakovites in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Meh. The Trakovites are my favorite faction in gf4. but i foresee them getting overboard with the whole abolishing Shaping. Anyways, I think he should bring back the Awakened.

They were awesome. Well balanced. Powerful. Not annoying to all end. Which they were considered rebels right? in gf 1 and 2 there weren't just the shapers and rebels. there were a many different factions.

Anyways, who thinks the rebels are going to split into two different factions? Who thinks the shapers will split? I think its funny too that the attention has been drawn away from the serviles. Oh, and who actually likes the drakons? I don't find them all that useful to create. And the characters that are drakons are beyond annoying.

And im in favor of the old servile look back. In the first three. The new look is ugly :( oh and the firebolt animation from gf 1. that one was awesome :)

Fan Art in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Well Coyote, i like your art. My favorite part is the coloring you put into it, way better marker technique then most people can do.

If I may, I should say you could put a bit more work into the layout and drawing before you start with the colors. Such as, getting the correct posture and look into it.

Such as the first one you could have done more with his posture. And all of them had more of a potential to have better line drawing incorporated. Though it is hard to say, because maybe you are going for a certain sort of look. But really though the coloring makes it look as if it should be professional, but the lines and posturing say otherwise

I hope this was of use :) . I love art and drawing, and I'm not hack, if you'd like i can draw some things up, and you could critique them for me as well. -- I haven't drawn in a little over a year :(

Oh and another word other then posture would be dramatize it a bit more

i think it would be cool if there were randomized mutations youd get from using canisters, based on what creatures and spells you use the most. or just dramatic physical changes or something. And he wouldnt have to put a ton of effort, just small changes would be kinda cool. Oh, and i am waiting for a character to pull a Jesus and be brought back from the dead. Evil character or not, either way matters not. Oh...And little green Martians.... Ya know what would be friggin awesome. If Mr Vogal (hope i spelled his name right?) put in some sub plots, that are at different points in the geneforge world. one character here, the other there...Then they meet up here. or something. I dont know if he has the capacity to do that with his software though....

I Would like to see some romance involved. I'm a dude, and alot of romance annoys me, but having some decent romance never hurt anyone. ANd it can add more dynamic to the game. Maybe a possible ending is if you went along with it, you get a child. Then that sets up the next game. The next game could be...an expansion after that. So, whatever ending you get, only a year passers by. It would be a a couple hours of gameplay, but ne would have had to create many different scenarios based on all the endings. Which could be too difficult for him. I dont care either way. I am a huge fan. And i am always pleased easily

But if you wanted something good, I'd suggest Stackpole's Talion or as someone already said, any of the Fiest books. Haven't been doing much reading (or at least not of fiction, I don't think science textbooks count in 'sci-fi') lately though, so no up to date suggestions.

Yeah, I'd listen to this guy, Stackpole is a very good author. I'd say my top 10. Ok, bubye

Please stop saying this to everyone that you disagree with. It is really starting to get on my nerves. Secondly, you really should know what you're talking about before you start arguing with the denizens of these fora. If not, you're asking for a smackdown. Also, if you continue acting in the way that you have been acting, you will most likely be canned.

Lol...um, what are you talking about? I say it no matter what, if im disagreeing or not. Also, i dont give a crap if i get "canned". Why are you all of a sudden attacking me? ive been nothing but polite to everyone. Nobody else has complained. And i DO know at least a little of what im talking about, what i said was sort of a joke. And how have i been acting? I'm just being...ME. SO yeah. WHATEVER. Anyways...what does this have to do with the topic? Say something meaningful for once! Ok, bubye

Also, you seem to have completely missed what everyone else has been saying:

It was used to refer to whales, but it was used non-exclusively. Even if it did mean whale, neither Matthew nor Jonah is the direct word of God. The New Testament is just as likely to be wrong as the Old Testament, and the Book of Jonah was written closer to the events in question.

—Alorael, who imagines that inventing words for speeches is usually a bad idea. Speeches are intended to communicate, not baffle. Usually.

Um, sry to say this, but you are very wrong. However, you are right that they were jew. In fact, one of three jewish sects. Lol. And, i think im right in saying that all the Gospels (life of Jesus), was written in Greek. Also, Ketos, was used to describe ANY cetacean. Basically, any sort of whale related thing.

Also, ketos doesnt mean fish. "ichtus" means fish. Also, the Old Testament wasnt written in Greek, it was written in hebrew. All im trying to say, is that its a whale that swallowed him.

I dont know how we got to this point, we WERE talking about dinosaurs. Lol, how funny.ok bubye

It is possible for creations to mate. Here:

text1 = "This battle alpha is extremely old. He may be the father (or mother, you're not sure) of this clan. He stares morosely into the fire. He is not as strong and confident as the others.";

This was in G1. I was also under the impression that the reason most creations weren't able to breed was because they were shaped specifically not to.

Lol, oddly, i havnt played all of GF1 yet. Sadly. And in GF2 it says something about only serviles can mate. Either in the very begining, or when you encounter the guardian looking after his serviles, and you can convinve him to help you kill rouges in the next section. Sry, i can never remember names

I dont like the idea of releasing creations. Bad idea. Andas for the mating thing. Only Serviles can mate remember? Duh. Also, even if it were possible... Naw, i dont like that either. I'd much rather be able to make my fyora into a cryoa. That would be sweeter. And both resemble pokemon to much

Does anyone else like the graphic for Firebolt in GF1 then in gf2 and 3? I think its much better in the first one. It look like more of a bolt. The firebolt in the other ones look like more of a flamethrower.

Also, I'd like to see a Healing creature, like in the majic class. but they heal small amounts. but still, that would be sweet, id love it.

And be able to recruit more than just 2 allies. I liked the amount in GF2, but you couldnt control them, which caused much death. OK, im donenow bye.

Also, id like to see a new graphic for the drakon. Personally, i dont like the look. there is something missing. Oh well. Anyways, i love these games, GF4 is going to be sweet!

Thank you Kelandon, for debating. Not many people know about such subjects. Now, i will actually go and study it, lol. I actually dont know much. I just use my common sense on everything, which only goes so far without knowing anything. And, i dont remember anything about a whale in the Odyssey, oohh well.

And, since its a side interest for you, what would you recommend studying exactly? Cuz, i love to read. Ill read anything pretty much. Not till recently have i tired making myself smarter.

Are you sure he spoke a Greek word? Hm, ill go look it up. Ok, well, he was speaking with the pharisees, who were Roman, and since Jesus knew all languages, he probably replied in Greek. But since you just said there WAS a word that meant whale in Greek, then my point is proven, it WAS a whale that swallowed Jonah. Of course i was largely wrong in assuming he invented the word, i was just guessing/assuming. Anyways....

Thats what I'm saying. There is so much nobody knows about Ancient Greek, its not even funny. Also, Personally, i dont follow the Lexicon. Yeah, its hard work, i agree, and the only people that should disagree with them, are people that are at least versed in such things.

"(Jesus not only wasn't referring to a whale, he couldn't have been referring to a whale - his language didn't have a word for it or even a concept of it.)" Qutoe by The Worst Man Ever

Lol, this doesnt make any sense, just think about it. If you read Jonah, and the quote from Jesus. The animal was created FOR this purpose of swallowing Jonah. Hence, it hadnt even been named by Adam. Therefor, Jesus had to come up with a name. Its like inventing your own word. Like "Stigglkeek". Thats my explanation of it anyways. Of course, you can disagree, its your God given right to.

Also, its not really that hard giving the Greek translation of something, just look it up, it takes like, a minute, then you sound like youre a professor. I've seen a 6 yr old do this. Lol, and no, im not trying to attack anyone. I'm not even looking at the names of the people part of the discussion, i dont even know who's saying what.

Um.., yeah. The 11 errors in my grammer and spelling matters not. I dont proofread, because im not being graded. If you can understand what im saying, whats the need? Also, my keyboard sucks, the keys stick and others dont read well when theyare typed. Especially the space bar. Also, dont talk about how much you know about the Greek Language. The Greek we know now is nothing like The Greek back then, and so what if Jesus wasnt there. He is GOD. And also, he refered to many stories previous to when he was born. And also, what i meant about the "translations", i didnt mean languages. I meant, NIV, NLT, NKJV, KJV, etc. And out af all of them, the KJV is most accurate. They DO leave out things in the KJV. Such as part of the Tora, and the Apochrypha. I think i spelled everything right im not sure. And if i didnt im not sorry, cuz i dont know you guys, and everyone seems to be getting a little pompous, even myself., and this is EXACTLY the reason why i didnt want to debate abgout this. There is already almost a full page of us arguing. So, i suggest we stop, not because of the fact that i'm losing, lol, but because we are sorta getting nowhere, and it will take at least 2months for us to find common knowledge on everything. So yeah. Also, i have respect for evryone here, i respect everyones opinion and your intelligence. Actually, i enjoy debating, because i DONT know everything, and i like the points people bring up. It doesnt hurt to learn from others. Ok, im done now bubye
