Bringing that subject back up:
Batons don't have to have brains to shoot thorns. It could be just a reflexive motion. So basically You just squeeze a certian spot which makes them react by putting tension on the muscles that shoot the thorns.

It's not how thin he is. It's about how tall he is:

That's really tall for a 12 year old. Most full grown men don't get that tall. (Unless he's 12 decades old.)

Also, in the bottom left corner, there's a sort of ogre. Perhaps that is the new Battle Creation?

Maybe, or is it an updated golem graphics?

Helium is flammable at least as far as I'm concerned. Doubt me? A blimp that was filled with helium exploded into flames once. Why not a Vlish?

It would be sort of fun to hack the game so that you played as a Gazer, with edited dialog so that the game still worked, but everyone was duly unnerved. Shopkeepers could say things like, "AAAAAAAAHHHH A HORRIBLE THING HAS FLOATED INTO MY SHOP!!!! But a customer is a customer
I've thought about doing something like that. If I did, would anybody be interested?

Idea for realsing creations in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

I was always under the impression that the essence was tied up in the creation to keep them alive. If the essence wasn't with the creation it would die immediantly.
No, that wouldn't work. Because you can't absorb a rogue creation. So it's probably more of a mind thing.

Andas for the mating thing. Only Serviles can mate remember? Duh. Also, even if it were possible...
It is possible for creations to mate. Here:

text1 = "This battle alpha is extremely old. He may be the father (or mother, you're not sure) of this clan. He stares morosely into the fire. He is not as strong and confident as the others.";

This was in G1. I was also under the impression that the reason most creations weren't able to breed was because they were shaped specifically not to.

Shaper hypocrisy vs. Shaper tragedy (SPOILERS) in Geneforge Series

Savage, this is what I got from your (more recent) posts. Is that we should treat every living thing the same. But, because Drakons are murdering people they should be treated like murderers. And killing them is the only practical way of doing that.
Correct?
Or not?

Well, Savage Ed Walcott did point out something. It is that the rebels don't treat their creations any better than shapers. It says that a number of times through out the three games.
The only time I can think of it not being so is when the rebels let that Battle Gamma live it's life out when it was deformed. Though you could say it was cruel to do that because the extreme amount of pain it would feel before it died.
However, I found an example of extremely intelligent creations that are made by shapers and even (in a way) honored by shapers.

The servant minds!

Test, proved unhelpful. I tried to not say anything on these boards to see if my "character" in the script would improve. However he still acts like an idiot, well, except for dodging that spell.
But, he's not to bad. So I still think it's great!

Teleportation spell idea in Geneforge Series

(I was thinking mainly of turret/pylon situations, where dumb creations tend to run up suicidally in full range of all present.
I never make creations without atleast two points too intelligence. So I don't need shortrange teleport spells. (Which would be nice for going through doors...) But as for long range, I could use that. If it was a lever which would take you somewhere.

For one reason or another... :rolleyes:

Finally, about why there are so many sealed labs
For a ingame reason? I might have one. They closed off the labs when the war started. Simply because it would be hard to hold them. Of course this doesn't exactily match. But it could be the problems in the mines started when they started to leave. (As they were in a hurry they didn't do it too carefully.)

The Shaper Council does seem kind of ineffectual, though.
Yes, it does need alot of improvements.

ometimes turning a blind eye to wacko hermits making Runed Serviles
Some proof that that is not true:

question = "You met Litalia?";
text1 = "_She came here after the rogues attacked, when I was helping to shut down this complex. I, a colleague, and our serviles were here, clearing out any supplies of value._";

And this:

question = "And what happened?"; t text1 = "_Litalia was kind. She offered me and the other mage canisters, advice, power, the control of the serviles, if we would interfere with the Shapers. I was wise. The other mage was foolish, and suffered accordingly._"; text2 = "_So Litalia gave me the powers. Powers I will now use to destroy you._";

The drakons would just build up again and come and kill you. Akhari kept an many armies in hiding while he built up his forces, they definetly could.

Yes, if they wanted too. But if they did it would only prove I should stick with the shapers.
But when I think about it, you have a point. The Drakons would probably almost be killed too extiction. (Because they're so headstrong.) Maybe the Drayks and serviles will go back to the shapers. With more rights of course.
